You're spot on about watch shops messing up your watch, brother! I've been changing and fixing my watches for decades now. I've had many watches ruined by so-called watch makers. Once I bought an original Omega Seamaster leather strap from no less than the Omega service centre for a hefty price and the staff ruined it when I needed an extra hole on the strap...He basically did a bad job and punched two misaligned overlapping holes on the same spot... Worst experience I ever had with a watch. Another "watch maker" totally wrecked the case back of my Zodiac Sea Dragon when servicing it... He slipped when closing the case and gouged out the steel, leaving deep scratches... There were many more such incidents in my young watch collecting days. Well, never again! Years ago, I got myself all the necessary tools and equipment and learned a fair bit online on how to fix simple watch stuff. If you damage the watch yourself, you can accept it. But if some uncaring irresponsible jerk ruins it, it's just not acceptable.

#Casio. A better value than #Rolex and just as good accuracy. The only "expensive" watches I own are a Fitbit and and old Whittnaure (a gift).

try rubbing the contacts with eraser from pencil

One advice on screwing back in: put in the screws in sequence diagonally and don't go in all the way till all four are in place. Then tighten all of them in the same diagonal sequence.

377 / 376 are two different battery numbers, either number will work in the watch, the 377 especially is common as dirt and cheap

(4:48) at this point it would've been a good idea to coat the rubber gasket with silicone grease to better ensure water resistance.

Sure wish you had shown the case filing mod for a NATO band, there are MANY of us out here that have big wrists and the casio straps are either tight as or just wont fit at all.
