Thanks, I have 2 of these Casio watches and will probably buy a couple more of them. Now I know how to keep them running forever. Casio MRW-200H are accurate, handsome, inexpensive and comfortable. Guys are nuts who spend big bucks on watches; I would rather own 500 shares of Apple than a couple of Rolexes or a Patek Philippe.

Apple may or may not be a good investment short or long term; however, the actual stock, be it in the form of certificates or on a "ledger" in a "house account" has no intrinsic value: it is not handsome, well-made, or "classic", and usually endows no pride of ownership. You can't wear it; it is not fun to show to your friends, and, worst of all, if it fails to perform, its value can dwindle to nothing. While I am not arguing that anyone should buy a fine watch as an investment or to fund retirement or a child's education, it is very unlikely that a Rolex or Patek would depreciate to a value of 0. I am not an expert investor, but the entry level Rolex Oysterdate I purchased in 1986 is worth many times more than I paid for it, even factoring in inflation and TVM factors. I only wish 100 more were available for purchase at the same relative price. As an aside and tongue in cheek, what is the value of all these boring investment vehicles if you never get to enjoy a fine watch with the earnings? If you buy the watch first, you can enjoy its present value for a longer period (joking).

Thank you for the insights. Very useful video. One thing you should add is it takes battery typer377 for SRS 626 SW battery.

Thanks - very useful video ( I was quoted £22.95 / £18.95 to replace a battery for this watch - although I can buy the same new watch for £14.99 🤣😂) . This gives me an alternative option as it's needed for a snorkelling trip .

Glad it helped! Just make sure the rubber seal sits well since you are planning to use the watch in the water.

I performed a battery 🔋 change on my Casio MRW-200H, shortly after this, to find my watch movement faulty. This was kind of disappointing. I took the 377 battery 🔋 back out again, since I just bought it. The watch was only half a year old, or so.upon taking the watch apart, I could tell that the movement was not quality. It appeared to be “melted” together at the factory 🏭, and attached to the back of the watch face. Maybe 🤔 I just got a faulty watch. I replaced it with an identical Casio MRW-200H. Maybe 🤔 it’ll fare better when it gets to be time for a battery 🔋 change. The only thing I salvaged from my last Casio MRW-200H, is the very tiny magnet 🧲. Your friend, Jeff.

The two topmost videos on KZbin for this subject merely showed someone changing the battery from about six feet away. Yes. Yes. I assumed that I would have to remove the back. It's literally like, "Open the back. Remove the old battery. Install new battery. Well, thank you for watching and please be sure to like & subscribe." I did not learn which way up it went in, & How it latched in. You could barely even see what the dude was doing. These are clearly gonna be people's problems! So, WELL DONE.}

That’s a very informative video. Although it pertains to this type of watch, it also serves as a general idea 💡 for other watches. This saves jeweler’s 💎 expensive battery 🔋 change fees (from $15.00 to $25.00, depending on your watch). Be very careful with those really tiny screws. I’m sure they’ll stick to a magnet 🧲 if dropped, or lost. Don’t worry 😉 about ruining your watch with a magnet, they’re anti magnetic. Just don’t do this with spring wound watches. Your friend, Jeff.

I too found this video helpful-BUT ANOTHER VIDEO I FOUND(no clue to name of it) SAID IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO -NOT‼️HIT /BRUSH UP AGAINST THAT COPPER COIL-IF you do , it's GAME OVER‼️ That Copper Coil is 1000's of loops of Copper wire wrapped around- every Quarts watch seems to have it. MAYBE you HIT that just right to Muck up your watch! Or maybe something else. I saw your post was recent so I chimed in. Ive only gotten as far as getting the backs off, I have next to brave the next level. Some other videos, guys have Antimagnetic tools or wood pointers( I've only a sturdy straw/I would recommend Cleaning Exterior of Watch FIRST BEFORE OPENING. Some have Cotten gloves on , but if the interior is sensitive to foreign matter I'd wear a nitrile glove, (more obtainable after Covid/also paint shops, it would have a snugger fit, the techs use Finger gloves , ive no fancy tools , IETHER. watch many videos, some show removing the battery clip-ANOTHER SAYS -NEVER DO THAT, just Push-BUT one SLIP OR SNEEZE ! and you hit that coil😡-HOPING FOR THE BEST👍

how long does that battery last?
@Your-Self6 жыл бұрын
It depends on how long the watch has been sitting and ticking on the shelf of the store you buy it from. The battery could be half dead at the time of purchase, and last maybe 1 year or even less.
