Great video Phil. You can also use a 12 volt cigarette lighter socket on the project and put a lighter style plug on the battery tender ends as well. Also give you an option to use the ammo box to power or charge something with a lighter plug. I usually run these direct to the battery so they are hot all the time.

It did thank you again. I've been using the same Harbor Freight Battery tender you showed but opening the box and clipping to the battery, Now I know what to use to not open the box.

I love battery tender. I use battery tender lithium on my harley and battery tender junior on mthe zero turn. My boom box im building now (first one) will use battery tender jr as well. Its nice to see you include them with the build. You should do a video showing what all you include with your boxes and maybe even show how you package them for shipment. Might help generate more sales?

If don't have a switch then those posts are hot? If I'm loaded I might crisscross the clamps and fry something...the clamps might slip off and arc... can I play it while charging? Must be a way to wire spade connectors from the battery inside to an exterior panel mount with something like a dummy-proof SAE connector (so a dummy like me doesn't do something dumb) to the Battery Tender so I don't gotta open it up to charge it like I do now. Your boomboxes look nice, Thanks for the video!

I’m doing a build with a 200watt Bluetooth amp module that can run 12v-24v I was thinking of running 2 SLA batteries in series what charger do you recommend to keep them charged. Without having to remove them or open up the box.

The Battery Tender Jr will work just fine. If you watch my video I just did on the large, waterproof green box, I installed a charging port that will work perfectly. I will get you a link

@@mikecoronel5140 You can, but if you use large enough batteries, like two 10ah batteries, you won't have to. It should also run 14 to 16 hours on a charge. Maybe longer. Then just charge it when not in use.

One of the main problems is a power supply. Is not a battery charger. If designed to provide constant power to power a device. A battery charger is designed to take a battery and bring it up to charge slowly and then slowly increase the charge in the amperage and then once the battery is charged the battery charger will shut off and quit charging. A power supply will continuously feed power to the battery at an over right that the battery can handle and that's going to cause a power supply to overheat that's also going to cause a battery to overheat and it's going to burn out the cells in the battery
