Just for clarification: The content itself is not generated but written and researched by myself. Also this is a test. If it does not work out I will switch back to speaking myself. I will measure it by the like/dislike ratio and especially your comments. Even if you accept ai generated Avatar and Voice there will also be 'normal' videos :)

This worked very well! Of course it becomes a bit "robotic", a little fast, and lacks your lovely accent, but this was totally understandable. As this function improves over time, and you are clear about what is AI, and what is not, it is a brilliant solution.

before there was the english version channel available, i watched your German one. i did put subtitles on and was then understandable. could it be an option to keep only one channel and do Ai based english subtitles that are added on the German channel ? Personaly I find the generated speech monotonous and missing your enthusiasm.

No no no, when I watch your youtube videos, it is a big part of it that I can recognize Mathias, I think that disappears with your AI generated translation, I think that would be a shame I have deep respect that it is a big job with both German and English content, but then your AI model must be updated so that it becomes Mathias 😊, I hope you understand what I mean

Good information on battery care. I've been self testing my 2021 iv80 since getting it 8 months ago and I'm measuring 95.6% at 34k miles / 54.7k Kms. I've never rapid charged it and tend to top upto 80 when i get down to 50-60% As for the AI, i don't mind it but it takes a little getting used to after watching your videos for a while. If it makes your life easier use it.

just to give you the heads up , i have a enyaq vrs coupe regestered last day of 23 and is running 3.2 and been faultless , i had to contact skoda uk and they told me it was due upgrade to 3.7 , i said it does it over the air and should not need to bring in . they said there had been trouble with over the air updates and have booked mine in for 2 days next month , i need them to look at the door seals ( on back doors ) front part of them where they meet the center pillow as they are bending away at the ends and coming away from the body , ( both sides ) dont know if any others have had problems with them , i know my superb spotline they started to come away a little ..........

As hearing impaired that use lip reading it is a bit hard to use the video, and the audio lack a little life and that make it a bit harder to hear. But i believe with a bit more AI training you can make it a lot better. Looking forward to see your future videos to see if you can better the points i mentioned :) Thank you for all the time you put into your videos.

An interesting video but I did see a video by a gentleman who had two mark one 2917 Nissan leafs. One with 95,000 miles witch had been rapid charged 625 times over that mileage and the other with 43,000 miles and had been rapid charged 3 times. And the state of health of the batteries were 71 and 75 percent respectively. And that is with no thermal management and old chemistry. I do believe you should not hold the battery for long periods of time at a very high state of charge nor should you leave it at a very low state of charge. I believe working with in those parameters the battery management system and the thermal management should take car of the battery. This was explained to me by a battery chemist.

A question, please: if the battery is charged to 80%, all other things being equal, will the maximum possible range be 20% lower than if it was charged to 100%, or is the charge and mileage not so linear? As to the AI generated content, sorry, I find the movements of the image rather disconcerting. Other than that, keep up the good work!

I have my Enyaq 85 a few weeks now. For long trips I charge to 90% over night. When I wake up, I use the app to start charging to 100% so I can leave with a full battery but it will be 100% as short as possible. If the trips are shorter, i charge to 80%.

It still brings your content and i like what you bring, but if i got the choice, it's more easy for me to follow you than your AI version. It sure is do-able, but less pleasant to follow, but i will still keep following even if you decide to keep using AI ;-).

Does anyone know if it is possible to set a max kWh to charge at a location? I can't seem to find it how I can set it fixed to 3,5kWh at home for example.

This is not possible in the ENYAQ itself. You can only set a SoC limit.

Matthias, mate, I have listened to most of this video. My first reaction was positive. I understood everything. But then I thought . . . this is not the Matthias I know. He is speaking at me not too me. I don't need sub-titles to understand you in your normal voice. You may not speak ''perfect'' English (few do) but to any native English speaker you are perfectly understandable and I would much prefer the Matthias we all know to this slick speaker who totally lacks any personality, says everything at a rush, does not give me time to absorbe what is being said and leaves me feeling exhausted rather than involved. Just my thoughts and hope it helps.

The AI works fine. There are a few pronunciation glitches and oddities, but it is totally acceptable. And if it helps you reclaim some time for yourself while still providing great content then please use it. This was an interesting video. My own IV80 (10/21) has around 54,000 miles (87,000 km). I must get a certificate from Skoda at some point as I bought it used with a little below 40,000 miles in its first two years. But, no real worries with it at the moment, I probably top up once or twice a week at home and brief top ups at work.

I tested my enyaq with aviloo. At around 83.000km its 96% left of the battery (80x - 2022)

Looks like i am doing something right i have only had my Sportline since 14 Oct and i just do urban short drives so i have been charging from 55% to 80%. The AI conversion is fine for me but i will miss you saying wideo instead of video.

Real is much better than AI. Acronyms aren't handled that well in some cases, and your Avatar frequently points to the comments section when they aren't mentioned. German language + subtitles would be preferable to AI, if you ask me. However, I understand why you are trying it.

I am somehow missing the point in the part about fast charging. The results about how many cycles the battery is capable before degrading to 85% is much higher if you charge only to 82,5%. Obviously that talks in favor of not charging to higher state of charge if not necessary. But the topic in this part of the video is whether is it harmful to do fast charging. The data is a bit misleading, because if you are talking about "is fast charging harmful" and the results say that charging with 115kW is better than charging with 39kW, people may think that it is better to fast charge. Am I missing something here?

Fractions are not handled correctly by AI yet. In English 1/5 is one fifth not one five. Similar with a third (1/3) pronounced by AI as one three. But it's early days and can only improve from here onwards!

Honest opinion? Bottom line, the time you save by using AI outweighs the downside it brings me. That being that I know I don’t look at the real Matthias, but an AI generated avatar. Also the voice sounds (and is) artificial and emotionless. The AI tools that do this conversion will improve rapidly, but my experience with this video doesn’t feel right. No issue for me as my German is good enough to switch back to your original channel😊

Sorry to give my impression, i know i gives you more workload, but English subtitles i preferred instead of AI. The speed is to fast, lips not synchronised and this is not really you. Even though, great to view you videos. But please keeep Mathias instead of AI in this matter

Interesting experiment with the AI but to be honest can't say that I like the result. It's the artificial and mechanical way it comes across that makes it a lot less engaging than watching a real human. Lack of variety in tone and expression actually make good content quite boring.

Sorry. I prefer your Swiss English. It’s easier to forgive your minor pronouniciation mistakes, than the AI’s mistakes. The AI is also rather monotonous and I lose concentration. Basically, its just not you!

It is horrible. If you continue then I can ask ChatGPT myself for answers or read a wiki-page. I am a subscriber to your channel from the early days. I liked the new English channel but will definitely unsubscribe when this AI will be new standard.
