The E01 is really good for pour-over coffee! We've been using it for some time now and, while it does have the ability to grind fine enough for an espresso, it tends to take longer than ideal.

Thank you for the kind words! It means a lot 🤍 Most of the coffee goes to a few friends we know locally, who enjoys their Moka pots and Aeropress. The small percentage of old stale coffee that we use will go to the recycling bins 🤍☕️

You will be very pleased with it 👌 If you even prefer stronger body, they are woring on a different burr version for that, it is the exact one but with different burr. Called the A4 🤍

superb review! +1 sub ... BTW, I ended up getting a CERA+ battery operated grinder. It doesn't cut nearly as efficiently as with Timemore's S2C burrs, but it does a great job nonetheless and best of all, while it has stepped adjustments, they are so close it's virtually stepless--30 clicks for a full turn, and 200 clicks total.. espresso is about 12-15 clicks, PO 26-85, FP >85. There's a 4-led battery indicator, shuts off automatically, charges super fast (

I purchased a new Femobook A4 for my mobile/camping espresso grinder a month ago or so. The overall form factor and rechargeable battery/motor drive make it one of the best, if not the best, 'portable' espresso grinders I have owned; and I've owned many (including 1ZPresso grinders). But, even after running several pounds of old/stale beans through it for break-in, flavor (and texture) in the cup is lacking in a big way. Out of all the hand & motorized grinders I own/have owned, this one the A4 is, quite frankly, the worst regarding flavor and/or texture. Communicating with Femobook about it has provided zero resolve. I sold a Lagom Mini with Moonshine burrs for the A4. If there was a way to fit the Moonshine burrs into the A4, it would be a true and big winner for what I want and need in a travel grinder. But, other than trying to swap in an Italmil or Moonshine burr set or similar, its on to a different grinder for me. Super bummed.

Who do you think is the best in terms of quality of taste between FEMOBOOK A5, MILLAB E01, or 1ZPRESSO...?

Love the form factor of the EO1, but looks pretty messy with the static electricity. Would hate to have to clean up that mess 3 times a day, otherwise it looks great.
@ourcoffeeshelter9 ай бұрын
Hi there, it depends on the coffee type. We personally preferred using RDT, without the station so the dosing cup will be attached while giving it a few shakes for the final beans to lass through.
@larrygucciardo38019 ай бұрын
I am a pourover drinker and most of the beans I used are light to medium roast. So, with that in mind do you think I would have the static problem if not using the station?@@ourcoffeeshelter

How is A5 compare with fellow ode gen 2 ?
@ourcoffeeshelter7 ай бұрын
Tastewise in filter coffee, Gen 2 ODE will win, but it can't grind for espresso. Also, one is battery the other is electric, one is concical burr, the other is flat. You could feel free to check the video we made where we reviewd the best electric grinders under $350 🤍☕️
@cristobalmunoz57566 ай бұрын
My understanding is that the Philos is going to be around $1100-$1200 US. Is there a $700 or so difference between these two grinders or does the A5 hold its own?

Hay can u please tell me who makes better coffee flair or 8barista? Can u please make a video what is better to get
@ourcoffeeshelter7 ай бұрын
Hi there, we will work on a similar video, but both are very different. The 9Barista is more easier to use as it requires less worrying about pressure control and water ratios. Just find the sweet spot in grind range. The Flair gives you more control over the extraction and is more desirable for the best results in manual espresso taste. However, it is not as mobile as the 9BARISTA ☕️🤍

Great video ! Why not also comparing the 2 with the Varia Evo Hybrid that you showcase in a short recently ?
@ourcoffeeshelter9 ай бұрын
Hi there, thank you for the kind words. Was planning to add the Varia EVO initially, but it felt not fair as that one is more like a hand grinder, with the ability to add an adaptor. It is not 100% battery operated grinder that is expected to be used solely with the battery. We are working on a video for the Evo, no worries, we just need to test it further 👌🤍☕️
@BenBarista9 ай бұрын
@@ourcoffeeshelter thanks for the reply ! I thought the Varia Evo was an electric handgrinder but provided with a handle for more convenience... like you suggested for the A5 ! In fact, I was hesitating between the A5 and the Varia Evo and finally pull the trigger on the Varia Evo because of it's better portability, the lower pricepoint, the external dial adjustment (like the A5), and the presence of the handle just in case I forget to charge. I will see when I will get it if the Varia Evo was a good pick 🙂
