Knowing how big the 42 is its crazy in a good way the size difference, even though i am not a fan of self righting boats because of how they sit lop sided in the water initially you get a real sense how massive the 48 SonicWake really is. Amazing work Proboat and you BigB for showing the best at what this boat can do.

Big B , you got a newbie thinking . CG is one thing . I think if you put longer trim tab , this will hold the boat down . Then you can blast it with a new ESC and your big prop . Let’s try that 👏👏

, so what would the boat handle like with long shaft and a decent prop , just say I'm new here 😅

This run nicely showed that at 60mph even a big boat will blow over... Man, you already spend half a boat on props...

Great job with the props. Im thinking the 1350kv motor with the stock prop would be a handful.
@vincentvassallo38432 ай бұрын
No, a slower/bigger motor with 800 Kv and a 55-60mm P/D would be better. This boat need more battery weight , better stability and run time... Or leave it as it is, 50mph is a good speed.

Is it the lack of blade area on that second prop that wont get it on plane?
@IRONCLADRC2 ай бұрын
I believe your right, lack of blade area and a couple mm in diameter

I've got horrible news... remember me asking you recently on a video why mine don't have the nylon washer like the 36 and you explained the 48s design? I finally took my 48 out yesterday. Without 3 min it stopped turning left hardly at all. I didn't think about the rudder and just thought my trim must be off on my new dx5 pro. Ended up going a good ways trying to get it to turn and come back. Gave more throttle trying to get it to turn and hit a wooden post sticking out of the water. Finally got it back with about a 5 inch Crack down the left side and a dent right in front of that and another dent toward the back. I'm so disgusted. Rudder came up just from the water resistance. Wish I'd known to torque it down TIGHT! I thought it was tight enough. Heart breaking!!! Sure wish they'd used the nylon set up on it. From the video I saw of your cracked 36 I think it was, I just threw away like $700. I'm gonna try to fix the Crack. Hope it works but doesn't look promising.

just wondering how long usually takes to get props from oxydean? purchased some to try over a week ago and still nothing even shipped???? $$$gone but no props?? OSE gets them to me in about 3 days! love those guys. my best prop so far was h52 from ose ran warm though.
@IRONCLADRC2 ай бұрын
Usually about a week or so, I'm east coast, Oxidean is on the west coast
@jarrettbarnes94382 ай бұрын
I'm in the middle... lol Michigan. but just thought maybe they went AWOL or are on vacation? as not even shipped? but OSE gets stuff here super fast. just keep waiting and trying what I got but thinking maybe have to go higher pitch but keep diameter 48 to 50 range to keep temps down.
@jaycevessier75542 ай бұрын
Idk, I think that boat is about capped at around 62 on stock power. Cant wait to see what your crazy ass does haha
@markgambetta17042 ай бұрын
Do you think HVC batteries (charged at 4.20 ) work better than the standard Lipo‘s at 4.20 if you match up the MAH, maybe do a comparison that would be cool. Thanks again for the great videos
@IRONCLADRC2 ай бұрын
I'll do a test one day with the same size and capacity charged to 420.

OSE or TFL need to make adjustable stinger for super sonicwake 48 just like they made adjustable stinger for sonicwake 36 v2
@mad_lizard2 ай бұрын
The TFL adjustable stinger for the sonic V2 conversion was actually a creation I came up with. To adapt the TFL stinger to the sonic. Then recently I passed along the design to OSE with a partnership for them to make and to the general public. Super sonic 48 would benefit probably from an adjustable stinger.

@mad_lizard2 ай бұрын
@@asiringoringo1 I will find out soon. I have a couple different ideas. What to try. First to get the boat to smooth out from bouncing so much. Too dry and trying a longer trim tabs 2 1/2 - 3 longer ones and few different propellers as well. Trim tabs, battery trays and possible stinger is my staring goal to focus on

Its my understanding he is from North Carolina, the speed run spot is part of the New River which feeds the ocean so as BigB points out in many of his vids that the tides create brackish water but also alligators in many water ways in the state.

boat needs a 1/4 flex shaft and like 2514/2515 or something. I said weeks ago high 50's low 60's. toot my horn here.

The boat does have a 1/4 cable with a 3/16 step down for 3/16 bore props. I do think the same for Props in a diameter range
