Replacing the battery in my wife's 2016 Lexus GX460

According to GX460 Off-road, the panasonic battery could last 15 years, if you regularly fill it up with distilled water. The star-looking caps (5 of them) can be turned counter-clockwise to open and fill with distilled water to max like you're mentioning max and min in your video.

@@flouisbailey Please Make sure you wear eye protection and gloves. It is hydrochloric acid in the battery.

@@bokatorus771 Thanks for your concern, I because of being an old retired dude, always have on my(biggest I could, get aviator eyewear)goggles and I’m definitely a glove guy. Found Milwaukee gloves with resistant palms and fingers. Great gloves from Ace, grip and protection. What color is the coolant in your Lexus mine is GOLD, I have read it should be RED, my concern is it’s been mixed with generic coolant. Hope you know if it’s OK my other Lexus is cherry 🍒 red, that was done at dealer. Thanks

Did you have to install a 1amp diode due to the battery being an AGM?

I did not. I just replaced the old one wit this one.

Dude did it wrong. Always disconnect negative battery terminal first. Stay away from my cars.

Might have been camera anxiety but always remove negative. You can’t beat a Panasonic battery, I quoted a DieHard it cost $50 more than than my from the dealer 84 month Lexus branded battery. I’m staying with factory for 7 years on GS hybrid I got it used 13 year old car with 24,xxxx miles, it must have sat a lot was used on Kentucky horse farm likely jumped a lot battery tender would have give more life but. I got 12 years on my other Lexus.
