Thanks for the great video. Was hoping to find a way to open the case without destroying it.

Batteries are made in different factories and versions, so you will not always find the same battery. One is easier to open, the other practically has to be destroyed when opening. The mixture of acetone + IPA + extraction gasoline helps me. Acetone itself is too aggressive and destroys the plastic housing. If the housing is damaged, you can print it on a 3D printer.

I just bought a new one from a website that sells Roborock vacuums for €50 plus shipping. I wish Roborock would sell them on their own website.

I am happy to find this video. My procedure is almost same as you recorded. In your video, output connector 4line) of bms is 0 volt not 16.8v. I am stop on this step. Seems bms is locked. Can you let me know how did you unlock bms?
@sbjeon591911 ай бұрын
I did it. Bms was unlocked after connect with 16.8v power supply

i think i would have used a dremel tool to top off the battery. releasing the adhesive seems to take to long :D Thank you for showing your whole process. really interesting and it looked like a lot of work to get to the actual battery back. Xiaomi packed it really good to avoid exchange and there seems alot of adhesive to fix the battery in the case

At the end of this video you have this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/opC0aaCKnNeYn8k. Whether you can open the casing without damaging it depends on the battery itself and how the Chinese put it together.

Very thanks for good video. I made with same method. Vacuum is charging to %100 then I am starting clean. 5 seconds later. Vacuum is power off then. I am putting again to charge station its charge is looking %0 then again waiting for %100 but again it is dropping 0

Hi. Where could I but a good BMS for similar battery?

Great video! What millimeter thickness of nickel strips do you use? Is 0.15mm thick enough?

I have the same Roborock & the battery voltage is 12.99V, so the cells need to be replaced, but does the battery circuit have smart features like laptop battery where we should not disconnect all the cells & must first attach new cells parallel before disconnecting old cells?
@HOTAIR8313 күн бұрын
The electronics do not lock when the cells are disconnected. All cells must be charged evenly.

@@HOTAIR83 Thank you, I am not able to remove the glued cells from the battery body. Can I just desolder the circuit & create a new battery pack with new cells?

I did the same procedure but now my problem is that when I connect it to the charging base, it turns on, and after a few seconds it moves away from the charging base and turns off instantly. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks, great video!
@HOTAIR83 Жыл бұрын
Firstly, all cells must have the same voltage, max 4.10V or nominal 3.7V, before assembling them into a package. After connecting it to the vacuum cleaner, leave the battery in it for a few minutes to lose some power. Only when the battery runs out a bit can you press the HOME button. Then it should load.
