great piece of tech! after using mine for 3 weeks (almost daily) i can say it's really important: 1) to empty the dust bin after each use. it will prevent the main brush accumulate too much dirt. 2) i never had to use higher setting than "balanced" - it's so noice-performence efficient!! 3) use the attached brush (it's inside right near the dust bin) - very usuful!

This is my first robot vacuum cleaner, so nothing to compare it with🌼 I read a lot about different models before buying it, and so far, I'm extremely happy with my Roborock. I wish they had an option to save zones in the app, but this is my only complain. Easy to control, easy to clean, and does a great job. I used to vacuum every single day, sometimes twice a day. Now I get my big vacuum out once every 2 weeks to go over hard to reach areas.

Just recived mine and im very happy with it :) only complain i have is the lack of being able to rotate/mirror the map on the app for more thoughtless zone cleaning, however, i found that erasing the old map, taking it out of the charger, and putting it at the north wall (you need to place the vacum rotated 180 so the sensors face north, close to the west wall worked for me to get the layout how i wanted it :)

I just got one of these and its by far the best purchase ive made in a long time. the docking station setup though does not need that much space though, Ive got mine in a fairly compact space for docking and it found its way in and out of it fine so dont get to worried about the recommended distance to objects with the charging station. Also ill add one of the problems i had on setup was connecting the robot to the network, turns out if you enter you wifi pass wrong it will not tell you its been entered wrong instead you will just get a message "failed to join netwrok" and wont tell you why, problem was i was entering my wifi pass wrong by one letter and it just kept saying "failed to join network", so make sure your wifi password is entered correctly.
@RobotMasters5 жыл бұрын
Brutus Good point have experienced that before where I accidentally input the wrong password and it wouldn’t tell me the reason why the robot couldn’t join the network. Also yes the recommended distance around the charger an FYI, I have three right next to each other and they dock fine, and also smart enough to recognize which charger theirs and not try to dock on the other robot’s charger.

This is a wonderful robot. Something to keep in mind, If you move the vacuum from let's say upstairs to the downstairs rooms. You will need to go to the beta map and reset. If you dont, the robot will remember the upstairs room and try to superimpose the upstairs map to the downstairs room, this causes the vac to bump into the walls and look for the chargers old location from upstairs. When you bring the vacuum back upstairs you will need to reset the beta map again, and the vac will start a new map again of upstairs the next time it is ran. My question is ...Can the vacuum remember both rooms? And if so, how do I save it?

I have just purchased one of these Roborock S50 Gen 2 vacuum robots and love using it indeed. One question I have is with pre programed zones. Is there a feature for me to set up multiple zones around the house and have the vacuum go clean zones as pre defined? One use for this is with the mopping feature. My home is a mixture of wood/tile and carpet. I perform a full house vacuum and after that want to perform a mop only on the wood and tiles. I seem to have to add the areas in of the house that are wood/tile every time for this to occur. Is there any easier way for this to happen? Additionally I would like to tell the robot to vacuum the kitchen or vacuum the lounge room. How do I perform this with saved pre defined zones? And lastly, how do I integrate this with my Google Home? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.

The mop requires the bot to be in the room that requires the mopping. You cannot ask it to mop a room that is across carpet. This is because the mop is attached to the bot and it cannot vacuum while mopping. So you have to change it from vacuum to mop and then add the mop on. You cannot automate mopping, you need to be there to put the mop on and take it off before it goes across carpet.

Please, I would like a help with Roborock 5s. I did the complete cleaning, I pressed Reset, but the device is still disoriented .. walking in a circle and almost without leaving the place. I would know what might be happening. No beating or liquid anything with it happened. Thank you!

Does it has only mop feature?

How do you mark a no go zone specifically for mopping? I heard you can mark carpet zones, but I only see "no-go" zones. Do does that mean that it wont vacuum there either? Carpet mode supposedly can detect a carpet automatically so why cant moppoing?

I just purchased a new one and had not got the app and just pressed the big (clean) button and off it went so I would say yes.

I started using this vacuum when I moved into my new house. During the mapping there were boxes and totes in the rooms (That have now moved) and when it automatically “color coded” the rooms there are grey areas that the vacuum will avoid even though there are no obstructions. Is there a way to smooth out the rooms or do I have to re-map the entire house? If anyone knows I’d appreciate it.

Thanks for your videos. Does the vacuum have to be connected to the same WiFi network as your phone? Or may the phone app communicate over the internet to the vacuum connected to another (guest) WiFi network? I noticed in your video it showed a message about bringing the phone closer to the device, is it using Bluetooth? Or a virtual wifi network for setup (like Ring devices)? Is it possible to schedule charging times, to benefit those that have off-peak electricity tariffs?

The app can communicate over the internet!

Can you schedule a zone clean? I have this white floor just in the entrance of my house that I want cleaned every day, and the rest of my house cleaned twice a week.
@kadliwt5 жыл бұрын
Juan Bustamante nope, only the just released roborock s6 can do this. But maybe with update they could add it as they did with first gen that gained some of the s5 features later.

I’m having a very difficult time getting the vac to connect to wi-fi. I’ve been trying for hours with no luck, very frustrating. I’m using the Mi Home and am certain I’ve followed the instructions. Any ideas on what I might try?
@waynegarrett16145 жыл бұрын
are you connecting your phone to the device? if you are then that is wrong - leave your phone connected to home wifi - reset the wifi on the roborock turn blue tooth on as well on your phone this helped me

Can this Roborock work without a WiFi connection?
@ryanholton9615 жыл бұрын
Recently ordered one of these, it’s on its way, with the charging dock, I have about 0.5M each side of where I’m planning to put the dock, but haven’t got 1.5M in front, probably have about 0.8M, realistically, how important is this, and would it still dock, there’s a table near where it’ll be going, and there’s defiantly room for the robot, it just needs to go at an angle past them
@yonchin27725 жыл бұрын
Hi, it doesn't matter I have all three sizes less than 0.5 and 1.5M.

Can you have the roborock clean the floor with zig zag movement in a specific direction ? Example to mop in the direction of the wood grain on the floor .

How do you handle a second floor? Do you bring the dock upstairs, or just the vacuum? And of course I will leave the save map on. Thanks!
@tiosirius6 жыл бұрын
did you find out how to do it? I have tried with the dock in floor 1, then with the dock in floor 2, both times it did a map from scratch. Then I tried again floor 1 without the dock (starting from exactly same point) but it used last map from floor 2, mixing both maps...
@RobotMasters5 жыл бұрын
villagechef1 Yes unfortunately the Roborock s5 will only remember one floorplan and will either mess up the existing map or start a new one from scratch if moved to a new floor. The Roborock s6 can save the map and have multiple floor plans memorized. It a bummer for a lot s5 owners with multiple floors 😩

Can we turn the map saving off when we take it to another floor and then then it back on when we bring it back up. I'm just wanting it to consider the 1st floor the main one and occasionally let it wrong blindly in the basement.

Thanks for the video. I would need some advice. I used the robot to clean, then it went back to the dock. All fine. However it forgot the map, even though the Map Saved Mode is active. It never remembers the map. Each time I start it, the robot needs to reconstruct the map and hits everything while doing so. I have a small apartment. Can you please help?
@0karolzer4 жыл бұрын
Does the robot go out from the dock station to clean itself? I just read that if you lift it and take it to any spot to clean, it forgets the map...

Can you schedule the S5 to go to certain areas etc? Ie you could get it to do a whole house clean twice a week but do the main used areas 4 times a week ? Is this possible?
@RobotMasters5 жыл бұрын
Dave H No it not possible with the s5, if there a specific area you have to manually select it on the map each time. The Roborock s6 has the ability to set different schedules in different areas, for example Monday and Wednesday Kitchen and Living Room and Saturday the whole house.

@sycksyn5 жыл бұрын
You can add as many devices as you want. There are hundreds of devices you can add to the app. Just make sure you add them all individually, you can't control more than 1 robot at a time, you gotta choose which device you are working with in the app and treat each one separately.

Does automatically mop hardwood/ laminate and vacuum the carpet while it’s cleaning?
@sycksyn5 жыл бұрын
Mopping requires you to attach a removable mop. You can only mop or vacuum, you cannot do both at the same time. You set the mopping feature in the app after installing the mop, otherwise you're going to damage your robot. I leave mine in my kitchen so that it can mop in there when I feel like it. It's a gimmicky feature but it's nice to get that dust and dirt off the kitchen floor so your socks don't.
@RobotMasters5 жыл бұрын
No the only robot that can stop its mopping pad from getting wet when going on Carpet is the Deebot Ozmo 930, has a water pump so it has the ability to control its water flow. The Roborock will vacuum and mop at the same time but you have to bound off the carpet areas or it will try to mop on the carpet.
