Now owning ID3 for almost a year, after 10years of Skoda driving. I would love to go back to Skoda. The cruise control handle is something to get used to, I like it better than the haptic shit in the ID3. (have to admit I have been flashing the highbeam instead of activating cruise control)

And, BTW, when ordering remember to add the cheap option of the safety net between the boot and the cabin. Without you won't be able to use the boot space fully should you need to.

Thanks for another great informative vide, I've just ordered the enyaq 80 rear wheel drive as the 4wd took it just out of the eligibility criteria for the ecological grant here in France but I'm sure that it's going to be a great value buy for our needs and super practical for taking our Labrador out in.

I think that boot cover is far better than those hard things on strings or the soft floppy boot covers. This spring loaded blind style is neat and tidy and much more elegant than other options.

The VW ID.4 and Enyaq are pretty good cars, but what is up with the start button. Also VW has a lot to learn from Tesla like octovalve, no fuses and supercharger network.

I have an 80x myself, and often use the start button when I am not sitting in the car myself, but need those who sit in it to use the climate and radio. also to charge mobile or play music while working out. What is the problem with manufacturers offering this option? Love the paddle shift to be able to manually control the rain, without being forced to ride in one-pedal. Well there are choices also among the BEV cars.

I own an 80X and i can fully recommend this car. Even the blamed Seats are very comfy in my opinion (my height is 173cm and my weight is 115kg, so i am short and chubby).

Almost had me there Chris until you said there was no regen level 0 which is what I like alot as I use coast mode in my classic Ioniq all the time and a reason I'm looking at the new 2023 Niro EV as my next EV. I like the Enyaq though but until I can test drive it won't know and it's supposedly not due until 2023 in Australia. I'll have to watch your range test even though I'll have to extend the range as driving at 130km/h here is illegal speed most we can drive is 110km/h.

there is a misunderstanding. . There are 0-3 regen levels for D mode. You can easily coast whenever you want.

Creep - you can disable it by turning on the auto hold - in that case, you have to "touch" the accelerator for the car to start to creep.

As in every MEB car, yes. but Auto Hold is not the same as Creep off. Creep off means that regen can bring you to a stand still.

I am thinking about leasing this car the 85x , I got a very good deal. Does this car navigation know the charging location and gets the batteries prepared beforehand ? I am still a bit nervous about the charging infrastructure, I am switching from petrol car and I will go on a Euro trip in the summer , from the UK. My dream car was a Tesla MY but this car looks more like a car, and the design is really growing on me :)

It’s impossible to understand why VW still implements the same piss poor UI for all new ID cars, when even Skoda managed to make interaction 10x better in their first try. I’m not just talking about the display/infotainment; touch buttons on wheel, sides etc. Absolute horror driving these cars

No, reflection is ok. Bi Di charging comes with 3.0, but you need a special charger at home.

Slight problem with 80x, if you get an offer from the dealer or download a configuration as PDF from Skoda's configurator there is small print in the end that reads: "For SKODA ENYAQ iV 80x the maximum output power determined in accordance with UN-GTR.21 is available for a maximum of 30 s, mainly when the maximum temperature of the high voltage battery is between 23-50 ° C and its level of charge is greater than 88%. Deviations, especially from the above-mentioned parameters, may lead to decrease in power, up to and including the non-availability of maximum output power." So I am not sure if 80x (AWD) is worth it considering that according to this the extra power etc. is mostly not available.

@@BatteryLife nevertheless I think buyers should be more aware of what is being actually offered. Plus I was told that deliveries of 80x are unpredictable, more than a year most likely if at all. So I think I will go with the 80.

The main obstacle may be the charging curve, if the 80 gets the flat one and the 80x the peaky...

@@AndyBrandt The flat one should be more relaxed and considerably faster to 80 %, the awds have a high peak, but you have to start very low to have a benefit till about 50 %, if I am not mistaken. Teslabjorn live will probably test drive the ID5 GTX on the famous 1000 km challenge tomorrow, we will see if the high peaks can make a real difference.

Yes, I know. I own an Id.3 for almost 2 years 😉 There is still an ignition button, if you need the car on while not sitting in the driver's seat.

I would love to have the disposable income to afford an decent electric car. We are looking at at a BMW 2 active tourer it has 510l boot space would need to add 15K€ onto the car to get the same with electric and no I'd never save the money over the 10 year lifespan of the car.
