I watch the Battlebox reveal as soon as it comes out. When I see stuff that sucks, I get super excited for Doc to release his review, because I know it will be colorful. I love it!

Wanna know what else works with coconut rum? Glacial Freeze (light blue) Gatorade. It's the only alcohol/Gatorade mix that I've found that tastes good.

Am an avid inshore/near shore fisher(wo)man. Toadfish makes quality products. I do like their tumblers because they don’t slide around in the console of my boat…never enough cup holders 😂. Generally use the smaller size for a hot cup of coffee early out on the water, or sipping bourbon over ice late afternoon…Their folding filet board is nice to have out on the water, especially when I’m cutting bait, and it’s nice to be able to hit it with the raw water wash-down and stow it out of the way. Also like that it holds itself together with magnets when folded and the no skid backing is nice on an a wet boat. Folding filet knife is awesome… again because it stows away easy, and frankly I don’t want an open blade on deck. No real opinions on the other items other than to say that Nite Ize makes a nice loop webbing system that comes with their S-biners. I always use it when I’m camping and generally hang it along the ridge line in my hammock to hang gear and it doesn’t all bunch up…. I know you do the same thing with 550 cord, just personal preference, but I don’t like having a bunch of jerry rigged stuff hanging all over my campsite.. Guess I can see the utility in the BattlBox one although I’m not keen on all the branding and think s-biners would be better especially with that diamond cut out thing they’ve got going in their webbing. I too canceled my BattlBox sub a long time ago because it was usually full of garbage items, but wouldn’t have minded getting that box.

Great Review as always. Anymore I have a hard time wrapping my mind around MSRP. I feel like the first TRD I got was priced at 7.99 (years ago), now it’s 12.99. I agree I wouldn’t pay that price for the tumbler, but Miraculous girl seemed to have fun with it!! I’d say my least favorite item was the water purification (I just prefer filters), and it’s a useful item. One of the members of the “spoiler group” is in Alaska and he has posted a lot of pictures of him and his 9 year old catching tons of Red Coho Salmon and he is saying the Filet knife has held up well and after processing a days catch (a dozen or more) it was still sharp and didn’t need to be sharpened, he has posted a few pictures in use. - I do miss when we would get 5 items in Basic and 2 in advanced, but with the inflation and the economy I get it. It is what it is. Have a good one brother !!

The cup holds a nice Tequila Sunrise and the mouth slide is really easy to remove and clean, though with you and it would've been nice to get a larger one. I could be wrong, but 50usd seems steep for the Puribag to me... I don't know if it would hold up to 12 uses, roll ups, dry outs, and re-hangs.

Good vid, thought the same thing about the para cord idea. And that fillet system looks janky to me and for half the price you could get a spyderco bow River and a Walmart cutting board, or even cheaper a Mora. Better quality imo than this unknown.

anything with a carabiner that isn't a carabiner should be avoided imho. multi use is fantastic but add a raw recruit and it will end badly.

I need to know how it is you compare those two subscriptions as if they are a one for one equivalent. That's like comparing apples to sponges. One is purely a knife a month, and the other is a box of EDC related gear. I don't see how choosing between the two is a relevant comparison in any way.

toadfish products are pretty good, i got a toadfish can cooler about a year ago as a gift and LOVE it..... unfortunately i did get drunk one night and get mad that the table was trying to keep my beer away from me and tore off the suction cup..... but the can cooler still works awesome. toadfish is a little on the expensive side, but in my opinion they are not that far out of whack from yeti, which is also expensive but no one seems to care. and as someone who has products from both companies i think the toadfish as at least as good as yeti. this is actually one box from battlbox over the last couple years i would actually have been somewhat happy with, the trd and webbing r really the only items i dont think i would get much use out of but if i had them i am sure i could probably figure out something to do with them. but i REALLY like the toadfish stuff, and the KOTM seems like a pretty decent knife, i would definitely carry it.

The box has some useful items but everything is so overpriced that it's hard to get a good reference point. Knife of the month is a bit of a joke I guess much better out there from different companies at the price point. Thanks for the great vid Doc and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

Knife is trash mostly due to their liner lock. If it's a liner lock it's an automatic fail for me.

Another paracord dispenser. They have come in every box brand. Wow the webbing has finally replaced a string and clothespins. Can't wait to tell my grandma. It's going to revolutionize her laundry. A $24 unknown brand tumbler. Just what I always wanted. A water filter that I have to keep buying filter components. Where do I buy them in SHTF? The fish cutting system looks decent. I would use it. Nice looking small knife. Overall Battlbox keeps disappointing.

The tumbler is overpriced. The webbing system is absolutely ridiculous, and the diamond holes make it useless for anything webbing is actually useful for. The filet system is cool, but seems seriously overpriced. I'm not sure about the knife because you said the function was awkward, and I actually have bigger hands than you. The cord dispenser seems alright though.

Why would that size of travel mug ever be produced? It isn't big enough for anything worthwhile. I use travel mugs for coffee and I would need 3 of these with me in the car for my drive to work. I don't really bother with alcohol, so whatever. Maybe my wife will consider it enough coffee for her. I can make use of the other stuff. I would never buy that webbing thing, but I will find use for it at the campsite or while fishing. I see that as the whole purpose of Battlbox. They send you stuff that could be neat or interesting that you wouldn't think to buy for yourself.

Toadfish stuff is fucking expensive there shellfish Processing kit is over 100 and that's with a discount at Englund marine. But the fllit kit is over priced I can get an entire Victorinox kit for just 160 that's with 6 or so knives plus scissors and honer
