for the sewing awl, the thread goes in the slit on the handle and comes out in the chuck, then through the hole in the needle

+CURRIN1776 I meant the slot in the side at the top. it comes out the small hole, wraps around the pin and through the slot near the top that leads it to the chuck. there's a little hole that's hard to see unless your'e looking for it.

Looks like a great box. I get the pro knife box. To me a knife is a tool, the more you can do with it. The better the tool/knife is for every day use. A karambit is a crappy knife/tool.

while the zombie tender kit is cool it's about twice as expensive as it should be. go buy a boss fire kit which is on sale right now. save yourself 40 bucks on a solid fire kit

I think this month was very disappointing. 12.95 for a mini grater? 59.99 for the tinder box? Don't really feel like I walked away with a huge value this month. Also sad the leather holster has no belt loop....Don't think this box was a hit for our household.

A pretty underwhelming box this month dudes... DIY knife is cool and all but it's still primitive and would require a sheath, and a bushcraft knife included - you'd have to tuck in your pants because of no belt loop and it appears to have been made by a semi-primitive tribe. This month felt more like $75 worth of stuff for the highest level subscription. My whole family was pretty disappointed after opening it.
