Knife, flashlight, multi-tool. #4 would be a duct tape wrapped cigarette lighter. Duct tape = tinder and bandage/tourniquet. I have all four on me at all times.

think like this///car must be in a faraday cage....then after EMP burst you drive it out of cage......then in 3 days another EMP burst....car is now crap....multiple burst render all electronics nil!!!!!!

Prayer rope (look, I know this is JUST an object, and it is not Jesus or the word of God or anything supernatural, but it is important to ME. It helps me focus on Jesus and it improves my state of mind. While this object is irrelevant to someone else, especially to a non believer, for ME it could mean the difference between life and death). Knife. Phone (I hate modern tech but I must admit it could save my life in many situations).

Dude do not drink polymer water, you’ll have the runs for a week straight! I used to work a wash plant and we used polymer (Flock) to get rid of dirty water and to clarify it and at times it got into your mouth or drink if near the plant, but yeah for 5 years off and on nothing but the runs constantly

LOL, interesting what happens when you read the instruction book. Very helpful video since I am going to get a GoSun. When I visit my dad in Maui we are out in a garden and I cook my lunch in glass container sitting on a mirror, this is a better option. Just get a tube, the rest is usable. I've been using GoSun cutlery for years. I have been using DLight lights for years.

This EMP "shield" will NOT shield your vehicle. It doesn't work that way. For example, if you have a portable generator in your garage and an EMP occurs, it's going to fry your generator. It's going to fry your solar panels. It's going to fry your solar generator/battery. It's going to fry your electric toothbrush. It's going to fry your refrigerator. It's going to fry your freezer. It's going to fry your cell phone. It's going to fry your radio. In other words, anything you don't have stored properly in a Faraday cage, it's very likely going to be converted to junk immediately.

Yeh, the phone so you can call your mother and talk to her while a bear is eating you alive. That actually happened. No, the knife is number one. Actually everyone's #1 is their keys, #2 wallet, #3 phone.

A surge protector that goes across the plus and minus power coming from the battery & to chassis ground does not have the ability to protect the vehicle as every injector, ignition coil, and all the lights, horn, even stereo speaker wires will generate up to 60,000V per meter of wire. On every single wire in your vehicle... where those wires come into the ignition CPU, Trans, stereo, etc, etc, etc... do not go to positive or ground on the battery, they go through circuitry like FETs, transistors, diodes, ingratiated circuits & micro processors and THEN to power or ground and they will be blown to hell! Your injector wires are at least 1 to 2 meters long, Your brake lights are more like 4-5 meters long... X 20KV to 40KV depending on you distance from the EMP minimum going through parts that have sensitive gates that will be destroyed in that 1 millisecond. Get it if it gives you comfort, but... there is a reason the military went back to diesel engines.

There are 5, in my mind. Cell phone, wallet, keys, then knife and lighter, in that order. Comms, money, mobility, self defense/utility and fire. That's the most basic EDC, and for good reason. 95% of everything you do in daily life, you'll use all of them frequently during the day, and you can take them anywhere. In terms of indispensability, that's the list in my mind, in that order, based on frequency of use. After those 5, I would list a flashlight and a multitool. Many people don't use either daily, but I do. I also keep a tiny pill bottle on my keychain with high test fishing line and a needle. Might seem silly to some, but I found myself always needing some small cordage to tie things or repair things in the woods, so it is something I've found very useful. But you said TOP 3, and so it is. Much of this can be consolidated, which is how I carry it. I really only have 3-4 things to remember each day, but with it 10+ EDC items. On my keychain is the lighter, multitool, flashlight, cordage, pen, and keys. 6 items, all used frequently enough to be useful, 1 thing to remember. The lighter has duct tape around it. All the items are small sized so that the keychain is not too bulky. Not much bigger than the giant keyfob most people have on newer cars. I keep money in my phone case. With a wallet case, you can carry phone, money, and cards in 1 item. Phone in one pocket, keys in another, knife in a 3rd. 3 things to remember, 10-12 distinct items on my person everywhere I go. My pistol is a 4th, but I don't necessarily count it as EDC because I can't take it into my workplace. But it's back on when I leave for the day. The fire kits, containers, cordage, etc. are off body items, which I don't call EDC. I keep a kit in my vehicles, which can be grabbed quickly when needed, but that's what I call kit items.
