Wal Mart and even Asian grocery stores carry the canned fuel for that stove. I have a couple of those stoves- great for frying fish outside or tailgating/car camping. The gas is not real expensive, and you have as much cooking control as a stove at home. Great set up, burns clean, no smell.

I do have a reason that I don't read the instructions first. If I can figure it out without the instructions then I don't have to worry about keeping track of them. If not then I have to put them away carefully and keep track of them (it might months before I use it and I'll forget, if I sell it, borrow it etc).

With the msk the micarta is thinner than the g10. Its always been that way. My buddy has the g10 and I have the micarta. I like the thinner handle too. The sheath is new. I have seen a TOPS counterfeit but it was very noticeable.

I've always been curious about those, have you ever used them? If so, how long do they last?
@nightsquats5 жыл бұрын
@@mitchellgardner2193 depends on the device or intended use. In the vid it estimated 4hrs average use. Typically, one can keep track of how many uses they get out of a device by volume. Larger vs smaller containers, do a small but of math and decide a meal takes an ounce of fuel or some such info, and use that to help.

@@cutlerylover remember we got a double burner external tank unit in the camp chef box? Pros and cons, there are reasons to dig one vs the other, like this one has a dedicated case, but the lid and side guards on the other were better wind management. Honestly, since one wouldn't hike with either, they're both car camping units, but still how often do we use both burners at once... hmmm... hard to say which one to love more, maybe much more like different knives they just serve different purposes.

I really like the stitch pad make shire you put syrup on it will feel like blood that's how close it is.
@jatbatman5 жыл бұрын
This is an example of why they shouldn't include stuff like this. People can do more harm than good. You don't suture when the wound is still bleeding. You control the bleeding, clean the wound, assess the wound bed, then worry about closure. If you don't do it in this order you can miss something that could be in the wound or cause an infection. You can't see through blood to insure there's no foreign materials in the wound.

Have you ever had a Benchmade Arcane? If so is it a good knife.
@CNYKnifeNerd5 жыл бұрын
Benchmade's s90v is really, really good. Assisted opening on an axis lock is... interesting. I'm glad I have one, but I wouldnt buy it again, and would never have paid full price. I'm not a fan of assisted opening in general so maybe I'm biased, but if it was manual it would be everything I look for in a gentleman folder. As it is, it's basically just meh.
@ripvanwinkle45325 жыл бұрын
The first aid pouch would also be good if you encountered someone with clinical training
@jatbatman5 жыл бұрын
Yeah I think the average person would do more harm than good with this kit. There's another comment about putting syrup to simulate blood. You certainly wouldn't want to consider wound closure on an actively bleeding wound.

Angelo I’m a trauma nurse. It’s a lot to expect a lay person to suture lacs without experience. Obviously I’m not saying you can do complex lac repairs with a stapler but the average joe wouldn’t be able to do it anyway. It’s like saying a flash light is useless cuz it won’t light up a church.

Dude, screw that flesh and bone kit! All you need is some super glue,an old bike tire, a sowing needle and a big old stick from the wild that has little beetles and worms feeling their way thru some flesh. Then the memory loss , then the shame, then , just cussing all of your situation, despite doing the best you can or know how.... so you try again to find something, a sign, a hope, anything, but all you got is someone telling you to work harder so that you can meet their goals, and, if you're a "team player" they'll take care of you....
