Great Mission again guys!!!! keep up the great job........ just a reminder BATTLBOX Tactical and Survival...... how much more Survival can you get..... Being able to help and potentially save your loved ones in a fire is huge.......

As someone who has been in a burning building a couple of times, I am actually happy to get this box. Wish there was a couple of different items in there but the burngel, mask, flashing light and blanket make my advance box worth it. Smoke inhalation is no joke, 3 breaths and you're out cold sucks.
@peterdeforge93267 жыл бұрын
I am a fan of this box for sure. I own a house in the woods and have a family including two kids with one on the way, two dogs and my girlfriend who is a 20 year EMT. We are both excited for this box because it could save all of our lives especially since emergency services is at least 30 minutes away. Folks who don't like these items or see the use for them need to check their definition of "survival" gear, as this box was filled with gear to help you and your loved ones SURVIVE A FIRE! 'nuff said..

Excellent box. I dig the emergency prep stuff, not only is the box filled with useful items, but it promotes awareness which can be key.

Again, a good box to get a jump start. BB will never please everyone. The items that we get are not to be the only items we have in our survival/bug out bags. Some items we may never use. Others, we will always use. BB shows us what is available and gives us a starting point. I have been a member from the very beginning. There have been a couple of boxes that I was not pleased with but every box had something I would use. Keep up the good work BB.

Great box! A good start to build on. And for all of you who think a Battlbox that focuses on one particular area is going to be enough gear to allow to check off that box you're getting these boxes for the wrong reason. BB is a start. It provides great gear, introduces you to great manufacturers and allows you to go hmmmmm how can I build on this so that I CAN check that box off. And if you go on the forum you'll meet a great group of guys and gals that have TONS of great insight into just about everything outdoors, survival, camping, guns, knives...well you get the idea! Don't bash on the box bc a few items doesn't turn you into a fire chief or Bear Grylls. Accept the Battlbox for what it is -- a freaking cool ass package to come home to once a month that provides great gear and hopefully opens your mind and gets you outside better prepared then you were before.

This is a solid box! I cannot for the life of me understand anybody who complains about this box. It may not be the tacticool or buschcraft box so many people yearn for, but it is completely necessary and an often overlooked area of preparedness. My opinions on the items are based on 10 years as a firefighter, 14 years as a LEO, and 20 years as an EMT/Paramedic, along with 10 years military service, so take it for what it's worth. Basic: WaterJel Burn Kit: This is a nice little kit to treat most burns. This stuff is not cheap and I like the fact that it comes in a nice zippered pouch. It's a bonus that the pouch is orange as it fits into my color scheme. This is going in my BOB medical kit. Readimask: At first I was skeptical, but after seeing reviews and testing on these masks I am already planning on buying more. These will find their way into my EDC kit, my vehicle preps, and even my work kit. They take up zero space and weigh nothing. If you haven't watched the testing videos on these, you should. FRED Light: I already have a 3 pack of these in each of my vehicles. They are great little lights, and they even float. This one will be going in the center console of my Jeep for quick access if and when I have to stop on the side of the road. Document Bag: Something I would not have thought of. I do have a fire safe to keep this stuff in, but what can an extra layer of protection hurt? Overall I think the Basic was a great value, especially for $25.00! Advanced: Firemask: I thing this is an awesome device and think that it could buy people enough time to escape a fire. I can think of multiple fire fatalities that I have been on that could have been saved by such a device. Obviously I understand it is not an SCBA and not good for oxygen deficient environments, but just filtering CO and cooling the superheated gasses could go a long way while escaping a fire. Fire Blanket: A 3x3 fiberglass blanket. Every home should have at least 1 in the kitchen. So many ways to use this, whether smothering a small fire to wrapping yourself, a child, or a pet to escape the flames. A great addition. Again, I feel the advanced is a great value! Items that even I don't have, but will now buy more of to cover my family. Pro: Throwable Fire Extinguisher: This one I am still on the fence on, just because I have never seen it in action. The price seems steep, but it is a proprietary agent. The concept is cool though. I have a friend that teaches fire suppression courses, I may give it to him to test. If I do, I will let you guys know. Pro Plus: Timahawk Tactical: This is one badass ax. Obviously, I would have preferred the full size version, especially since it seems to be less expensive. This one, however, is nicer than I expected. It is SOLID. The G10 scales are comfortable and the cutouts are such that it makes it easy to get two hands on it for full swings. The nail puller/pry bar is a little too short for my liking, it may be tough to get a good purchase, but I haven't tested it yet. In any event, the adz will pry very well, I have no doubt. This is a very formidable forcible entry tool for it's size, and worth every bit of the $150, with out a doubt. This box is why I love Battlbox. It helps me identify holes in my preps that I need to supplement and introduces me to products I may not have been aware of. I don't need 12 months of bushcrafting gear, and as much as I like tacticool gear, I have a lot of that too! Keep up the good work Battlbox!

100% agree. Legit items that i already have placed in the kitchen/night stands/cars and med kit. Lots of kids bitching for zombie apparel on moms dime. This is EASILY one of the top kits so far.

sansreazon for some reason my FRED lights I always only get two working out of every three pack? It's something in the chip cause it turns on cycles the start up and then freezes. I now have 3 sets and 3 of them (1 every set all do this) I actually just used mine the other week when Irma came through. The low constant on setting does great for providing lighting at night wo destroying your night vision. The actual white light is bright as hell too. The hanger is great for hanging off fan pull strings and the magnet sticks to everything solid. Couple of them and a couple snap lights get my family through the nights every hurricane season.

I think the Battlbox folks do an incedible job EVERY month! Perhaps the whiners and complainers should invest their money in a "scented candle box", and leave the good stuff for folks that appreciate the effort the Battlbox Team puts into their awesome product.

In the review you talked about having a picture of your grandmother when she was 19. I thought a long time ago about my Irreplaceable pictures, photos of my late wife from 33 years ago. I decided to use my cell phone and take pictures of my pictures and then that way at least I still have them on my phone even if the originals are destroyed, I can reprint them.

scott helstrom in his professional opinion it ain't useless. I will trust his opinion over anyone else's who is not a fireman. PS: it's a Tomahawk, not an axe. Or you can call it a hatchet but the handle is WAY WAY WAY to short to be an axe

I cut myself on that damned Tomahawk too :P She'll bite ya if you ain't careful! Folks don't seem to get as excited about these 'less tacticool' parts of being prepared but this is just as important as anything else. All the cool guns & MRE's & Valyrian steel machete's won't do you any good if it all burns to hell. I was definitely able to check some things off of my "shit i need to buy" list with this months box. Plus that Tomahawk is badass & feels like it'll last a few generations! I like it.

with all the fires here in oregon. it would have been helpful as last months box.
@2zero6Survival7 жыл бұрын
So coming from someone who lost everything in a house fire when I was a kid, all these items are practical, usable gear everyone should have. What the fire didn't get, the water damage did. Let's see how tacticool any tough guy is when he loses everything he owns or worse yet a family member who died of asphyxiation when these items could have saved either. Bet they wouldn't be so tough then and would cry like a bitch as anyone should if losing a family member that could be saved. The mask doubles as a field expedient gas mask as well so win win.

Glad I cancelled my subscription many months ago. Also, for the record, the edge opposite the blade on the Timohawk is an adze and in a fire situation is used much like the Pulaski in clearing away debris. In fact, this Timohawk appears to be nothing short of a stylized Pulaski. I guess it could be used as a pry bar, but that is not its main purpose. Hasn't anyone ever heard of or seen a Pulaski before???? These guys selling the tool and those hawking it on this channel certainly should have! counciltool.com/product-tag/pulaski/ I use mine around the homestead all the time because it is so darned useful. I cannot see how the Timohawk could be used for much of anything though.
@echo6echo4197 жыл бұрын
And a roofing hammer is a stylized hammer. What's your point?
@cleetussmith66527 жыл бұрын
If you had a roofing hammer, what would others think if you declared that it made a great toe nail clipper? The point is that a Pulaski has a special use for the end opposite the ax and that use here is shown to be a pry bar and hole basher when it is actually designed to be used as an adze or like a cutter mattock (cutting roots, removing surface vegitation, and so forth to create trails, work around the farm, woodlands firefighting and cutting fire breaks). That end of a Pulaski is not designed or meant to be used as a hole basher or pry bar and, in fact, using this tool like this would be quite dangerous due to the razor sharp ax opposite the adze head. The stylized Pulaski tool shown here would serve moderately well in the use for which it was designed and much less well as a hole puncher. See kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHm1gml-qsmsaZI

SER2 - will you send me the rest of the gear? I mean, if you can't find a use for the gear, I certainly can. I can't see how a fire blanket and escape mask are "novelty" but I support your voice of your opinion even if it's wrong.
@caseyjames73797 жыл бұрын
Bull 350 they are novelty items , the water gel is the only usable item I like , the light puck is alright I suppose , but not worth the pro box price I paid ,that money could have been used some where else and now I'm kicking myself in the ass.
@echo6echo4197 жыл бұрын
Ok so a mask that protects you from smoke, CO, Hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, gas and radiant heat for 60 minutes and a blanket you can toss on a stove to put out a grease fire or wrap around your torso to protect you from fire are novelties? If you say so.
@caseyjames73797 жыл бұрын
Bull 350 yep , luckily I live in a small house , I'll either burn up quick or get out fast . Either way I'd rather have some cool EDC stuff to die with than stuff I probably will never use sitting in a junk drawer or out back in the garage.
