Even just an ability that turns the user into a type that always resists if possible would be crazy, let alone the first part of Protean or whatever. Like, Ghost, Normal, Dragon, Poison, Ground, and Electric would all be useless against such a Pokémon. But honestly, I love the concept. Such a battle would be better (imo) in a real time style as opposed to turn based, which is what I want to see a Pokémon game attempt (aside from Poké Park). I want a Pokémon game that has little to no focus on catching/obtaining Pokémon and is instead about exploration, but in a world and especially combat system that feels more akin to like Xenoblade or BotW.

I feel like some Pokémon should only be possible to catch at very low health (like 5% or lower) with a Master Ball. Arceus should probably fit that bill. Hey that Phase 2 is actually really nice! I’ve wanted a different theme for Arceus for a while. I think he ought to have a theme that conveys “the danger of the judgement of a creator” and one that’s more like “Now! Prove your worth! Arceus will join you if you show the strength of your bonds!” The first would only play if you failed to complete certain story elements and Arceus would be literally uncatchable, even with a Master Ball. The second would play after a sort of Delta Episode type post game, and would sound not angry but more like the major chords of Dialga and Palkia and the Lake Trio, with the sort of upbeat energy of the Galarian Bird theme or Ultra Necrozma. These two themes you made here would fit that former scenario. I just think Arceus deserves a battle theme that makes you feel alive and invigorated, happy even, and not just “you’ll be destroyed”. Again, circumstances and story would matter a lot though.

While looking through your bag for a potion, you notice an old flute that you've carried with you as long as you can remember. It's glowing, very slightly. You pick it up, feeling compelled to play it. The notes that come out feel sour, and wrong, yet ethereal at the same time, somehow. Feeling satisfied, you put it away in your bag and begin down the path you'd just attempted to take, but notice something... off. The bricks in the wall seemed to curve suddenly, now leading to a faintly lit staircase that you know wasn't there before. Going up the staircase feels harder and harder with every step, as if something is trying to hold you back, or is it pushing you forward? You can't really tell. Reaching the top takes you to an area you've never seen before, a large platform that looks to be made of glass, but upon further inspection, you're not quite sure what it is. The Pokéballs on your belt begin shaking, and you can tell your Pokémon don't like being... wherever it is that you are. Suddenly, you notice it. A large, looming shadow stretching towards you, coming from seemingly all directions. Your Empoleon is forced out of its ball, and despite you never seeing it back down from a threat, it's cowering behind you. The shadow finally takes a shape, one you recognize from old books you read in school. "It couldn't be," You think. "Nobody has seen that pokémon in centuries..." A bright flash of light confirms the fears in the back of your mind... Arceus, the creator of the universe, was standing in front of you. You stand, terrified, but unmoving, trying to show the least bit of courage you could. Your Empoleon, seeing you stand firm, tries its best as well. A sound that could only be described as ethereal comes from Arceus, and huge ball of light comes flying in your direction. Empoleon stands firm between you and the titan, glancing back at you with eyes that tell you it's ready to fight. Without saying anything, it turns back, and fires an immense stream of water from its beak, breaking through the ball of light and hitting Arceus. The area around you distorts, warping and twisting, and you know there's no turning back now...

As it finishes bugging out it crashes, you out it away and ready your first pokeball as you approach this pokemon. The pokemon screams at you and challenges you to battle. You spend hours fighting it until it seems tired.. "Human, you have earnt my trust.. You are worthy." It said. As it glows red, and turns into a humanoid form! And it Dynamaxed! You continue to fight.... You're pokemon.. Somethings up.. They won't fight. They must be scared. Until your pokemon looks at you and screams at you! Are they against you!? You rumage through your bag, masterball... Perfect. Ou throw the master ball at it...* If you want more just say and I can continue its just my fingers hurt.

I really hope Legends Arceus has a climactic final boss battle against Arceus where he uses the plates to change his type so whenever you hit him with a move it switches typing to be good against whatever your using, forcing you to switch your team constantly while being attacked, then when he's run out of health he brings out all the plates and becomes omni type where he's immortal and you'd have to use some in game gimmick to weaken/defeat him.

I'm scared for the gen 4 remakes. If Arceus ever became part of Sw/Sh its dynamax should be a different colour. It uses its own power to dynamax and doesn't need Eternatus energy, like Calrex. That would be epic.
