Battle at Barber! 2023 BMW M2 Time Attack Gridlife Barber Motorsport Park - Project M2 TA

With stock suspension still on our M2, we arrived at Barber, an extremely challenging but also fantastically fun track that requires plenty of commitment. The curbs were unforgiving, but the M2 took them no problem, so I kept pushing the limit (and my luck). I love this track and can't wait to go back next year!

The theme of Barber as you found out is turn in for a late apex. Always being patient and letting the traction come back to you. Total opposite of something like Sebring that you can attack.

Be careful on that curb, the M2 could take it but a lot of cars probably can't!

@@JackieDing86 yeah, I’ve generally heard to avoid the first and hit the second. Can’t believe the times you were getting on a stockish non-aero car! I have a s54 e36 M3 with aero and am low 1:38s.

That was interesting, as it is my "home" track. you take alot of curb at T8 and T13, clearly a "better" way around. I will also have to try your way thru the loop. 100 thru the chicane is a fun time. The only thing I would suggest... nobody look.... no down shift before T1, take that as you are approaching the hill, I could be wrong

Greta driving, some of those crests are really well placed to make some corners very interesting. Those tyres seemed pretty sad in he long corners, how was tyre wear? Can you do more than one fast lap in a row or do they heat up to much?

Weight, stock suspension, etc etc. Once we upgrade to a track-prepped coilover setup I think we can influence the handling balance on entry more!

@@JackieDing86 The only carbon is really on the center console middle console gear shifter and steering wheel with paddle shifters. personally, when not gutting the interior completely and keeping most things 800 is fly out of my pocket for all of those.

Some maybe doesn't like bling carbon, it looks like something from Wish and it does absolutely nothing for weight. :)
