Dang 4 obstacles in 4 turns? I love the chase mechanics but that's a super fine line to succeed, with no room to breathe.

GM Spielberg is brutal.

Kind of the point. If adventures were easy everyone would do them

Never mess with GM Spielberg, but if you succeed, the rewards are great.

@@R1ck_Ryder Counter-point, they're absolutely not easy, because the overwhelming majority of people cannot do them. That's often part of what makes something heroic fantasy. You are the 0.1% of the population, as it were.

Thanks! I think these movie breakdowns to Pathfinder rules translations are one of the best things I’ve ever seen on KZbin! Super entertaining and helpful at the same time!

I just wanted to take a second and let you know how awesome this playlist you have made is. This is by far the most useful and interesting P2E series I have found. I've watched almost every video on it and it has helped me gain a much better understanding of the game. I'm about to start gming a game for some friends for my first time ever and I sent them a link to this playlist to help them gain a better understanding of how things work. Keep up the great work and thank you for everything you have done so far!

Awesome use of the chase mechanics! It's the kind of things that one doesn't totally understand until you see them in use like this.

I think Troy would be a good movie to show off combat some more, specifically the battle between Achillies and Hector.

What is fun is the card hidden aspect. You never know what his under them and it gives more tension for the players. Just reciting the obstacles just lose the tension.

I think in this case it is more to track how many obstacles are left before the players completed the "chase" Remember there is a time limit, so normally players need to make decisions on how to tackle each obstacle carefully, sure some options are easier to pass, but they will take more time.

Hey, I really enjoy this video, I saw it somewhere last year then I adapted the way I was running chase to something more narrative and "cinematic" so thank you for that I would love to produce a translated version of this video. Would you mind If I did ?

Too much GM intervention on step 3...seems better to say Indie rolled a nat 20 and got those results (i.e., the GM let him skip directly to 4 due to the crit)
@jonispatented

Having the GM decide to skip a step is GM intervention, too. Good luck playing this game without it.

And even then it could be argued that he rolled for reflex on sotapo and nat 1d
