This kinda is nostalgiac in a way when it comes to the layout of the stage. No bullshit, no gimmicks, just you and a tough-as-nails boss with his peons. Unfortunately, the unit isn’t half as good. I think Valkyrie might actually be better than him, and when *VALKYRIE* is arguably better, then that’s how you know you’re a shitty unit.

Imo Ponos is sleeping on a no-gacha stage restriction. They could phrase it like this maybe: Useable units (or whatever they say for 4-star): Common • Special • Select Rares • Select Super Rares

This is one of the hardest stages in the game if not the hardest, no gacha is impossible, no cash, the boss stats are brutal, you need to have boosted units (level 50's, maxed out talents and huge plus levels), cat base NEEDS to be maxed out, you need limited gacha units (Metal and Sniper) and even with all of that it's still stupidly hard to win. I have no idea why is this 11 stars it should be 12. (I think some 3-star UL stages might be harder.)

I did it, I use Kai for Uber and it helps out defending if she isn't exposed by Dark Doges. I also bring out Octo level 50+9 and maxing out his HP up talent and Freeze Resist level 5. Yes, this prove the instance where "Resist" talents actually useful enough, and thank god I already have Metal Cat as well. Just like Birth of True Man, I fear that this level is excruciatingly difficult without it.

I think Ultra Form Windy wasn't made for this stage, but Ultra Talents Nurse was. UT Nurse has Sage Slayer and target Floating/Black.

Even though cyber and sniper are still used and necessary no Uber for now, this Sub-trait looks promising. Imagine only needing 2 desynced cybers instead of the 22 minute stack in this video that couldn’t even permanently slow. Like at this point it’s more of a problem with the unit itself if it needs to be used on every late game/boss stage, even one that attempted to counter one of its selling factors. (cc) and if ponor is too scared to nerf cyberpunk somehow, which would be a really bad decision; considering that it’s necessary for so many stages at this point, they could try to be less subtle about their attempts to limit the usage of cyber and just outright ban him in some stages (this could apply to different units too.) ponor could also use the ban thing generally and, for example, not allow wave block on a wave stage. This would make it actually do its job correctly. Basically, ponor just needs to use restrictions instead of introducing a whole sub trait to counter something. (Behemoth for surge spam/dasli, and sage for cc spam.)

I think that careful stage design is better than restrictions for banning units, for example using stuff like golem sunfish or croakly to snipe cybepunk or using high dps frontliners to kill octo quickly

Yeah, it's sad how you can't make an interesting wave stage in endgame. Most of them are absolutely nightmarish but who care if your entire lineup is wave immune ? It's just mean that wave immune units are basically mandatory. It make the game less skillbase and more based on unit check. You could ban units by standing range just like you can ban units by price in CotC so.

I almost beat this with 50 max talents A floating defense orb medium defense combo hades lol. Got him down to 20%hp with the help of ramiel and mola king. Might have to opt for this strat tho as it was just not enough and I aint gonna farm any more floating defense orbs for hades. Also, is investing on octo's weaken talent worth now? Since it already has stupidly high uptime but sage ability decreases it, it might not be a bad idea to max it...

If you’re running research L I recommend using metal cat he’s a really solid failsafe Beat this level first try yesterday using this lineup: Kimomo Champs (Himeyuri, So-Ran, Kite) Grand ChunChun Hunter (only for combo) Sniper the deadeye (30) Stone (50) Metal Macho (20) Octo (50+12; defense buff level 5) Bullet Train (50) Cyberpunk (48; slow max) B-Blast (30), Thunderbolt Style (only level 1 so doesn’t matter), Slow Base Foundation (Level 3 so idk if it matters) I did almost lose because I was in a cash starve and didn’t have any octos to protect my cyberpunks because I greedily got a 4th but rock + B-Blast saved me Also ran rich and sniper items ofc

An example of this is the Yulala + Ururun stage or pre-Rocc HT Floor 47 where the challenge comes from good timing rather than broken units. Any stage that mandates the use of Cyber and/or Sniper for uberless runs is not well-designed. (which is also why starred UL fucking sucks)

For the last time, Li’ls are not gacha. Ponor essentially confirmed that by abiding with Japan’s gacha law (notice how cat combos only have 1 gacha unit at most).
