Honestly I really love the design of Gunduros. He has insane potential if you can get him working, but is not easy to use. With power creep Ponos just keeps adding units meant to one up old ones, and seeing a true specialist who requires strategy and not just get on the field and win feels good. Also he will get a true form and talents someday and that will make him amazing. Kind of like how Issun Boshi is kinda mid right now but in true form he is probably going to be really good.

Issun is pretty much destined to become the best Ultra Soul. A 20% damage boost (which will come from stat talents) will make his base damage as good as Blanka. Any other buff on top of that and he’s going to far surpass Jizo and Ushi.

Ive tried Gunduros with other super backliners such as Piccolan and Cyberpunk, their CC works really well at keeping enemies in place for Gunduros to nuke. Piccolan's freeze is basically what Gunduros' spirit was meant for, but it actually works

Very good review, the only thing I disagree with is that you say his summon doesn't have synergy with his kit. I find that if you bait enemies in then use the summon, they won't get knocked out of his range even if they do end up getting knocked back. If you let them walk right up to him and hit the summon right as the big lad starts his attack then both the summon and gundaros will hit. The freeze makes certain that they can't push after being knocked back, this means the big man won't get knocked back mid animation.

I really LOVE Gunduros! I used it in Black and Alien stages in ZL again and it absolutely shreads! Also I think his foreswing being 7 seconds is actually really good because it allows you to thin your meatshielding to bait a large number of guys into his attack. Rock is mandatory to use with this guy for maximum effectiveness. Even his conjure is placed very carefully as it allows you to freeze for three seconds at least once if your meatshielding got too thin. I definitely think that guy should be much higher in ranking. About 450k in one hit to target traits form such a safe distance is too good for this rank. Especially considering the Nukers issue of missing a lot is kind of alleviated with his foreswing. The only issue is that he requires careful meatshielding which actually makes it engaging to use than blindly spamming them.

One thing that people forget about is that a new unit still has potential even if its bad cuz there is talents,tf and potentially a Uf or Ut so he may get smth like lower cost or higher movement speed or faster attack (in talents or higher forms) so keep that in mind the unit is either broken from the start with useless talents etc or bad/mid and becomes better at least wait for tf since most units aint good before that.

Better late than never... Kasli the Bane is a very powerful unit when it comes to stats. The combination of high health and 5 knockbacks leads to her staying alive for a long time when summoned. Thanks to the powerful Surge, she is also able to deliver high and consistent damage to midrangers and backliners, such as Le'noir and R.Ost, while also intercepting incoming peons and keeping enemies that are extremely easy to knockback at bay, such as Gory variants, Brollow, Rain D. and Mr. Puffington. Lastly, she can even be used for "base trapping": if you have her hit a base and trigger a boss wave, her Surge will instantly hit and severely cripple anything that comes out, sometimes making a massive difference. Just remember that due to her blindspot and most of her damage being concentrated in the surge, she will not perform too well against Zombies, short ranged pushers like Bore or One Horn, as well as surge-immune enemies. However, a tanky unit can cover her blind spot, making her usage even more viable. Damage isn't all she has though: her Curse ability lets her disable enemies' Knockback, Slow, Freeze, Weaken, Warp, Curse, Dodge Attack and Toxic abilities. Since it has good uptime, this makes her even more useful against enemies with annoying abilities like Super Metal Hippoe, Li'l Doge, Crazed Axe Cat, Henry, Winged Pigge, Gobble, Heavenly Herald Papuu, Bakoo and all Relics. There are, however, rare instances in which her Curse ability can be counterproductive, such as against some units with Warp, who would become unable to warp any attackers they reach to safety. This is most notable against Final Boss Giga God. Her immunities to Wave Attacks, Warp, Curse, Weaken and Surges further help her with the threat posed by such abilities, especially in Uncanny Legends, Cats of the Cosmos and The Aku Realms where they are prominently active. Overall, she's an extremely powerful unit that holds her edge all the way into the endgame and has almost no drawbacks.

Since his surge is disconnected from his main attack, it is possible to use Master Uril as a sniper. He is, however, not recommended for that due to his low DPS for his cost. This somewhat limits his usage to Relic enemies, but he works against most of them and makes a huge difference, unless he can easily be reached by attacks for any reason, usually involving support from Long Distance enemies. In True Form, Uril gains a wide variety of abilities that dramatically boost his effectiveness. Any stat increments and the range bonus are always good for general use, with the cooldown reduction being a massive boon as he's now easier to replace when lost. While his damage remains very low, his Strong/Curse abilities, alongside his Surge Immunity, greatly improves his matchups against both Relic and Aku threats, as all of them either have a knack of causing status effects or generate devastating surges, both of which he easily dismisses. Lower-ranged ones that rely on raw stats like Aku Gory are also easily slowed to a crawl, making them a much easier target. It's worth mentioning however that Uril lacks the ability to counter enemy shields, so support is still needed to get a clean hit on them. Behemoth Slayer is perhaps his only questionable ability. Many Behemoths that he could outrange properly are Surge Immune, with the only viable targets being Rangmaster and Folivorean, which, unfortunately, the former is protected by a durable shield and the latter outranging him, and since his value mostly lies in delaying enemies within his target traits, it's only viable for his own defense in general against such threats.
