Dialga’s sprite looks sick, Palkia’s doing an interesting pose 🤣 both Lucas and Dawn’s back sprites look great too! Then the Spear Pillar map looked cool. Very professional!

It's not a soundfont, it's the original Game Boy's sound chip.

Not quite. It's actually Famitracker with N163 module settings, but manually kept within the limits of what a Gameboy could sound like, and specifically keeping it simple like how GSC tracks are written(no rapid arpeggio chords, blips and bloops, no noise channel usage despite all of these being possible). The Wave channel is using a custom waveform that is used in Crystal (same one visualised in my Prof. Rowan theme video at the bottom). When the battle starts the audio is edited overtop, but almost all visuals are within Crystal's engine.

What if Gens 1-4 came out from 1996 to 1999 on the GameBoy?

That would be a tight schedule, but recall that Crystal Version released as late as 2001 internationally. Four generations across GB/GBC may have been possible, had Game Freak not intended to prepare for games on the GBA and beyond after that. Perhaps leaving out Kanto in the 2nd gen, and avoiding similarly large post-games would have helped, had they gone that route.
