There were no signs of coming upheaval in-between the 13th and the 14th centuries. The collapse of Frankish empire has spawned two political centers of European political zone: The Holy Roman Empire and The Kingdom of France. By the edge of the High and the Late Middle Ages Europe's territories had been divided between feudal lords of different status and wealth. And cultural space evolution indicated about flourish of Europe’s civilization. However, if take a closer look at relations of the power and some authoritative people then it's not going to look that simple. Today we'll consider The Franco-Flemish War of 1297-1302 not only as some local stand-off, but also, we'll take a wider look at this process. We'll consider The Battle of Courtai of 1302 as some kind of a signal of political and social changes at the end of the High Middle Ages.
