People are often stuck in "video game" land, but one of the big advantages of table top games is that you can do anything you want with them. Competitve game need a structure and same rules for everybody to work, but for casual play, anything is possible as long as you have friend to play with. And as we got more expansion it's only gonna get better!

Love this content. I designed one for my local shop, and I think a flavorful addition would be event decks for each side. It contains cards that can be deployed at certain points in the game for free, ie every 5 points of damage done. Each card escalates in value, so by the end of the game, each side is getting a capital ship or tank or something, adding to the fung chaos you described. It emphasizes combat and rewards each side along the way by having things happen like it did during the movie!

How do we sit around the table? We cross (comme a la belote) or next to each other meaning 1 team would have 2 consecutive actions?

That's a good point, in our game we sat one team on one side and the other on the opposite, which means that a team gets 2 consecutive turns; which means that the righmost teamate has an heavier incentive to get initiative. If you make teammate sit diagnaly across each other, it works but it will make the boardstate a bit more confusing.
