I saw Keni at a USO show at Camp Victory, Iraq OIF 06-08 in December 2006. Thank you Keni for serving and thanks for coming to entertain the troops when we needed it.

to Mountainous - Keni is using his "survivor guilt" to tell the stories of the men who were to his left & right. He also donates a large part of his income from his book, cds, etc. to the Special Ops Warrior Foundation. As awful as that day was, some of the stories are funny - like Floyd taking out the tree! Keni is a true American Hero. Thank you for leading by example Keni.

Keni is a fkn badass & 1 hell of an amazing guy! I wasn't apart of the RR but I was apart of Army SFO! "DE OPPRESSO LIBER" brother! 👊🏻 The story about Floyd just letting her loose & letting her eat was awesome brother!

@MOUNTAINOUS I think it is more genuinely soldierly to have the attitude of bein unaffected and able to joke, rather than to be horrified. Horror is not for those who guard but for those who be guarded.

@MOUNTAINOUS It's how you survive. Without a sense of humour, a person would breakdown. Laugh or cry. Gallows humour they call it.

I saw Keni perform a song at a library in Columbus Ga for kids one time, didn't know it was him at the time then I recognized him and it was also Ranger Rendezvous so I put two and two together. I had my Ranger coin in my hand as I went to shake his hand and told him Rangers Lead The Way. He was so cool we talked for awhile, didn't ask him about the mogue , I saw him again at Ranger Rendezvous the same day, he bought me a beer. Such a legend 🍻

another Malay troll, let it go, you all had a small part in the battle, please don't put your boys on the the same level of the D-Boys and Rangers who fought all night. The Malays rolled in there with the 10th Mountain after a lot of begging and pleading and then ran off with their APC's, hence the infamous "Mogadishu Mile." There is a reason none of the guys who did the actual fighting mention the Malays.

According to Rangers that were there, the Pakistani UN forces were cowardly and finally felt the need to come provide whatever little help they could to evacuate pinned down soldiers

@@slappymcgillicuddy7532 wtf without them who would save the Americans armies where they were trap in. They suffered several injuries and one death. Thus it was the Pakistani UN who cowardly ran away and thats nothing to brag about rn.Without them who would save the 1200 Americans Soldier.

Get your facts right. By the enemies on account they lost over 5,000, U.S. forces lost 18. The forces were removed by the President not by any member of the military. He did that because he realized that the locals were not ready for help. The US plan was to help rebuild the country just like they did Germany, Japan and other former enemies. The US didn't occupy the countries they rebuilt, the Russians did that
