This is exactly what I experienced too. When I wanted to shoot some heavier ammo, I bought a roll of BSB White 0.8 and a roll of Great White 0.85 from Catty Shack. The biggest difference between these bands was, that BSB shot inconsistent. At first I thought it was my fault and I made some new bandsets. But it was the same every time again.

I am not a fan of bsb. Sometimes you make a great set and other times they don't perform the same with the same dimensions.

Lol I wouldn't say vast. But I am definately starting to pick up a few things. Now that I have the chrony I can start fine tuning things a little more.

Ahhhh, I was waiting for this one! Mark you are getting very similar numbers to myself.....Precise all the way! Thank you for posting.

You know I was really wanting to like the bsb bands. The pull is butter smooth. They are fast but I just can't seem to nail them down. Precise is like shooting heatseeking missiles for me. I will be trying other .65 bands soon. The bsb bands shoot fast but just aren't as accurate. Im sure I will get some backlash on this one. Saying that it could be my form or slight differences in the cuts but I seriously have tried them on many frames and precise always shoots better.
@morati19634 жыл бұрын
@@ATOMark I would have to agree with you based on my limited experience so far. with Precise vs. BSB. I gained 10fps on Precise .60mm by going from 440% elongation to 480%. I find if I go beyond that, my bands don't last very long. Still experimenting though.
@ATOMark4 жыл бұрын
I had room to shorten my bands up a little for more speed but decided against it. The 3/8 steel travels pretty damn flat at 10m. For target shooting at that range there is no need to explode the target. I may try a heavier band for 20m shooting though.

Now need to compare the GNOL and Sumeike also the sharpened taper templates from slingshooting really do give an acceleration boost whilst retaining accuracy! Sweet video Vicar!
@ATOMark4 жыл бұрын
I have 25-12 Templates on the way. I will be doing gnol .70 and precise .70 and catty shack ......... maybe. I can't remember if I got .70 or .75. I need to order some sumeike. I here good things. I will be doing many bands comparisons.

Whats your go to band brother?
@canvandal45034 жыл бұрын
ATO right now I’ve been using simple shot black. I can get it really easy and quick. It’s pretty consistent. I have not really experimented with a lot of latex. Your video was valuable.

Great video! I had some bad sets when I first started it was the bsp i just put it down to me learning to shoot iv started to make my own bands and used the precise bands and have been hitting the spinner and the can's more often than not know i now why! 👍

Precise .65 are great bands probably my favorite so far
@ch0cchip7044 жыл бұрын
@@ATOMark yes probably what I should have gone with i was none the wiser im shooting the 0.70 how fast do the 9.5 mm steels fly but very consistent and much more fun when there is no stray shots.
@benhurn52534 жыл бұрын
Just a suggestion why don't you try 15-10 taper for target shooting with .06 precises with 7mm ammo it improved my shooting loads by dropping down the taper 👍
@ATOMark4 жыл бұрын
The problem is ammo selection. I ised to shoot 8mm steel at 18-12 but now it is $100 for a 1000 shots shipping included. 3/8 is $19 shipping included.

Maybe the bands are heating up with the rapid fire. Thank you for showing us your test, Mark. Stay safe and stay cool

I shot them both at the same pace for the most part and I shot them at the same outdoor conditions. I am really not sure why precise performs better for me but they on any frame I put them on.

Hi mate ,, hope you are keeping well. Which band set do you prefer for hunting with the EVO? The precise or gal green ? . Finally my EVO Field Sport is on its way 👍.. Stay safe .Alan
@ATOMark4 жыл бұрын
I do not hunt with my slingshot but I if I did I would go with catty shack .75 or greatwhite .80 you could drop critters with lighter bands but for me when hunting I want to be sure I make maximum impact with gear that I shoot accurately to get a clean kill. Thats how I would go about it.

Hey, do you know what kind of pull ratio BSB and Precise bands have❓ I know my GZK orange has 1:6,5 and green has 1:6.
@ATOMark4 жыл бұрын
Precise .65 has 1:6, if I remember .50 precise has 1:6.5 don't know about bsb gzk green .50 is a 1:5.5. When you are testing bands I would test every roll and every size. I think there may be small differences by batch and I know that not all sizes of the same brand stretch the same. I would do it for each roll that comes in. Just my opinion.
