I love your bilge pump setup. Is there somewhere I can learn how to build a system like this? Thanks!

We have a couple videos on how I wired up the pump switches and bilge counter from Waterwich Inc. Check 'em out.

You got the Beta, that’s great! I’m looking forward to the install videos. A wet vac is my best friend for bilge cleaning. Degrease, hose it down and suck it out.

Wow. So it was basically illegal to turn on the pump.

There would have been a small sheen if we had, but not much. We always had an oil pad floating in the bilge and the pump would be below the pad and any oil on top so if the pump ran it would discharge just the water. Oily water can be discharged legally to the sewer, but since we’re on a septic system we opted to absorb the oil into a pad and dump the dirty water into the soil. The pad went to our local household hazardous waste collection site.

Looks great! How does the TotalBoat Bilge Coat compare to Interlux BilgeKote? I know the TotalBoat stuff requires sanding between coats, do you think it is tougher? I am finishing up a gallon of Interlux BilgeKote and considering switching. How many coats did you eventually use and are you happy with it?
