"You're not looking to impress anybody, you're just trying to have a glass of wine and enjoy yourself." -EXACTLY my thoughts whenever I buy a bottle of wine. I just want a good, cheap bottle of wine that's nice and enjoyable, and doesn't cost me my life savings. I'll have to try that Cult Blanc. Although, I'm not sure what to think of Sauvignon Blanc's. I've only had 1 so far recently, and it didn't impress me that much. 😒 I won't give up on them, though! I do like a good Chardonnay. You made that French Beaujolais Blanc sound pretty good! What other (white) summer sippers do you like, or recommend? I like a good Riesling. A little sweet, but not too sweet. Whatever else you recommend or like, would be my suggestion for a video. Or, fall is coming. What are some good fall wines (red or white)? Another suggestion. Thanks!

Some of the best Sauv Blancs are Sancerre wines. Usually above that sweet spot of $10-$15, but also worth it. But, I'll be honest... Sauv Blanc is one of those wines I can go pretty cheap on and not really care. I really enjoyed that Beaujolais Blanc! Quite a surprise. I've really enjoyed discovering Albarino over the last year. Another crisp white wine with the added element of salinity on the palate. And, Spanish and Portugese wines tend to be really good values whether its a white or a red. Cheers and thanks for the comment!

There are many non-oaked chards in CA now. Plus most lower priced French chards are low to no oaked, and much better balanced than New World chards. Another good alternative are Pinot Gris from Oregon.

I think I'll always be gun-shy about California Chardonnay... and yellow labels... and any description that uses the word butter. lol... but I do love a good Pinot Gris. And, I'm finding that most old world chardonnay is really quite enjoyable. Thanks for watching and commenting!
