Idk why people think if hair products aren't 100% natural it's bad for them. People need to stop getting so caught up in this natural ingredients thing, and start focusing on what actually works for their hair. If Cantu ingredients were soooo bad for you, I'm sure nobody would purchase it and they'd be out of business a long time ago. I've tried Shea Moisture and it's okay(leaves my hair a bit too dry for my liking), but it doesn't work miracles for me like Cantu does. Many people in the comments say they have never and will never touch Cantu, but I think people need to be open-minded and stop bashing the Cantu line without actually trying it first. Also, I'm sure these same people don't go to restaurants and ask for the list of ingredients, and I'm sure most of them aren't vegan, so their bodies, including their hair, isn't "all natural" anyway. You guys are acting like using Cantu is a sin, and fail to see that the Cantu worked better for her than the Shea Moisture. Everybody is different and Shea Moisture doesn't work for everyone.

cantu is more water based than shea. your hair probably has a higher proclivity to water based products as opposed to thicker cream based

+princesslamour what's your hair type? try using warm water on your to open the cuticle to allow moisture in. use warm water ONLY. use it when you shampoo,condition, deep condition, reapply moisture you get the point I hope lol do not cold rinse your hair. after washing your hair in order to seal moisture in and close the cuticle apply your leave in conditioner on damp hair, then cold shot your cuticle closed with your hair dryer. that's it trust me it works. it worked better for me sectioning my hair into five parts applying my leave in then cold shot each section one at a time. this regimen changed my hair! if I confused you, I recommend watching "shlinda1 low porosity" video its where I got all my info so you'd better understand step by step☺

I personally prefer shea moisture over cantu. Cantu left my hair dry and crunchy. Definitely didn't hold up outside in the heat. Shea moisture leaves my hair soft and shiny and defines my curls way better. I think your shea moisture looked like that because it was old and maybe had the top left off for a while because mine is always creamy.

I just started using Cantu products this week and omg I'm so in love with them! So far I've used the conditioner after a final sulfate wash (my previous products had lots of silicones, and sulfates are the only way to clean those out), along with the leave in conditioning cream (I've used this every morning after my shower), and today I used their co-wash to deal with some dandruff flakes (I have to co-wash fairly often, like every couple days because of this), and honestly, my hair has loved everything so far, like, such a noticable difference that I was getting compliments from coworkers! I'm definitely going to be trying the curling cream next!

i love cantu i decided to buy that line instead of Shea moisture simply because cantu is affordable. I'm sorry I'm not gonna break the bank with a product thats $10-13 dollars. Besides not everything is 100% natural these days its all made in a factory so no telling what "secret" ingredients they put in & not tell u. I have both, however the Cantu curl activator creme was much better, cheaper. I only needed to use a little bit of product. I paid $2.99 for a small jar. My curls were poppin. I tried Shea Moisture Curling pudding from Target paid like $14 and I had to use a lot. Hanfs down Cantu is my favorite. I do love the Shea Moisture Retention Jamaican Castor Oil Shampoo & Conditioner.

Yes, I agree with you the Cantu side does looks more defined & also fuller and it looks better than the Shea Moisture side I see some of the ends aren't as defined. I use Cantu & Shea Moisture and on my 4, a& b hair the Cantu defines my hair & makes it more shiny but the Shea Moisture leaves more hair more softer & bouncy still it defines the same makes my hair more fuller!!😍 I love both honestly but when I'm trying to save coins I'm buying the Cantu!!💕

Shea moisture ❤. I honestly love Shea moisture more but I do like them both. I just use some type of coconut spray from Cantu. I don't mind, but really ppl have to understand that... not everyone's hair is the same. If it works for u, ok. If it doesn't... don't use it. Don't buy it, so let's just move on. When I did use Cantu product's, it made my hair flaky. That's fine and now I found what works for me. Not complaining. My hair is thick and Shea moisture does the job for me. Nice. I started with the Shea moisture smoothie. When TGIN came about I tried their twist and define cream. I can honestly say I don't like the way it feels on my hair. Even though the curl pattern is decent after the twist out and it's creamier, I rather use the smoothie. Then again, I thought about using that Cantu as well to see since it's cheaper lol. Beautiful hair though!

I think it just depends on what type of hair you have and also what works best for you. I have tried both on my hair. Cantu had my hair feeling soft and not dry out. SM had my hair feeling kinda hard. But I still do both tho

I used to swear by the cant coconut curling cream, but the next day my hair was super dry. The curl enhancing smoothie does the job for me now. Even though I havte the smell, it is the best product I have found for my hair. Everyone's hair is different

I too have used shea moisture products and I have to admit I did like how my hair curled up and the moisture I received while using these products. Just recently I began to use Cantu products again. I used Cantu before going natural on both me and my daughter's hair and I loved it! Cantu is a lot cheaper on the pockets and it does its job! I have to admit though that the Cantu Coconut Cream does leave your hair feeling heavy and it cause your hair to hold a white substance that will have to be washed out. I think I may use Cantu hair products a lot more often. I would also like to say it may work differently on different textured hair.

I used the Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter LINE: Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioner & Mask. By the end, I looked in the mirror and had a 'BRILLO PAD' sitting on my head! Now, I'm transitioning (for the umpteen time) and perhaps that had something to do with it or maybe it was TOO many CONDITIONING TYPE PRODUCTS, BUT I GRABBED A WATER BOTTLE, MY CANTU LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER, MY OPTIMUM OIL, MY ECO STYLING GEL and fixed that Bad Boy!!! I will be trying to sort out what exactly happened by cutting out the MASK then THE DEEP CONDITIONER (if that doesn't work) mixing that line with other products to see if I can narrow it down but if something is better for your hair, it just is and if it's more COST EFFECTIVE.... Cantu, pop my curls more, but not as bouncy & volume but I love both products also I love to use it with Jamacian Black Castor Oil 100% they have my curls shining I only use a small amount because the oil is thick. If, I put too much in my hair my curls would be weighed down & limp so a little goes a long way!!😍

I prefer cantu budget wise, results wise, and even the smell. I brought maybe two different shea moisture products and it didn't take long for me to learn they are NOT for me:) Cantu products are lifeeeeeee try their curl activation curl, it is a dull hair life saver! Also, allthatmane or allaboutthemane I forgot the exact mane but their multivitamin products are great as well. Thanks for the video girly!

Curls seem to be boasting more with SheaMoisture whereas Cantu provided more defined curls indeed but I really don't see any material difference between the 2. Thanks for this review!

Im a guy and I loved Cantu' at first. It made my curls look awesome and loopy, it maintained my curls all day, it prevented frizz....BUT shit caused me to have SERIOUS hives after maybe like 2 months of using it. Like I broke out in hives all over my body. At first I thought it was medications I was on (which didnt make sense). I also thought maybe it was some fragrances I was using. I stopped using everything (except the Cantu because I thought it was all natural). I even went to my doctor because I thought I was having an autoimmune problem and even took Prednisone (steroid) and antihistamines like crazy. Come a week ago, when a fb friend was complaining about Cantu' and how it made their hair super dry, I noticed my hair also being super brittle. Then, it hit me! My hives had to have been coming from the Cantu since it was the only thing I didnt stop using. I even saw some KZbinrs complaining about also getting hives from Cantu. Guess what! After one week of not using it, my hives have been coming less and less. Sadly, I think it's going to take a few weeks for the itching to stop all together. But dont go the cheap route! It has a lot of toxic ingredients.

For some reason, my twist-outs never seem to form a curl, probably because I'm not using a CURLING cream/leave-in. I will definitely be trying one or both of these products!

I am actually a cantu fan. I so love the product because it work well for me let remember the fact that It works for me doesn't me it must work for u ok. So i have dry hair and was suffering hair breakage and I started using cantu and it actually works it keeps my hair shinny, bouncy and growing.

I loved loved loved this video! This was EXACTLY what I needed. I'm trying to decide what product to use for successful weekly braidouts.. I just took my hair out of braids about a month and a half ago and I'm trying to let my natural curly hair breathe. I have usedy cantu's growth strengthen cream before and just purchase the Shea moisture deep treatment masque. And I love it. I have Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie. I like that it works best when the hair is real wet. And yes it does leave the hair a bit dry.

Great video!! I could tell that the Cantu was doing a better job as you were applying it as the curls were really popping out. Also, after the twist out there was less frizz in the back on the on the Cantu side. Thanks for doing a price comparison. I was using the Shea Moisture on my hair but I will have to go out and purchase the Cantu to try on my hair. Thanks again!

I think Shea moisture need to rethink their price, I used to buy it because it gave my hair life and I had so many compliments but because of price I had to stop using it, now I'm seeking products that gives me the same life but at affordable prices, after watching this video, I might try Cantu. Can I just say this is the first time watching your video and I think you are so beautiful with and without makeup and your hair looks like mine. I would like you to do more battle of the brand's.
