Round 2 of the 2019 UCI Cross-Country World Cup was a banger for the books! World Champ, Kate Courtney took her second World Cup win after a relentless race for the lead against Anne Tauber, Rebecca McConnell and Jolanda Neff. In the XCO Men’s final, Dutchman Mattieu Van der Poel duked it out with Swiss star Nino Schurter for the top spot while Mathias Flückiger, Henrique Avancini and Ondrej Cink fought for third place on the iconic Czech course. Rider’s now have a month to rest and reflect for what’s to come in Vallnord, July 6-7.

This might have been MvdP's first World Cup win, but it was vintage Van der Poel to see him drop Nino Schurter on a slightly ascending slope, where he can fully develop his power and nobody can match him.

Nino no deja de ser un grande por haber perdido, eso es cierto. El paso de los años es inexorable y no perdona. Empiezan a llegar nuevos corredores y este Van der Poel viene pisando muy fuerte. Hasta ha dicho que le gustarìa correr un Tour de Francia despues de los JJ.OO de Japòn. Sabemos que Nino es un crack de la estirpe de Federer y no dejarà de dar batalla. Esto se pone bueno!
