This war had so many symmetries, bipolarities, symbolisms begining with the rivalry between the two cities , also translated into the rivalry between the Barcid family and Scipiones, so much so that one might have the impression its a fabricated rennaissance story.

Gnaeus and Hasdrubal seem evenly matched as commanders. Both know when to fight and when not to fight. Both are good at not panicking under pressure. Both are good at coming up with ways of keeping the other contained. I guess this is a lesser known rivalry of this war.

Carthage had a good navy but Romans had good fighters. Latching the enemy ships and turning it into land battle mode was the Roman success. Love your channel and content. Look forward to more. Cheers!

They had a good navy...during the First Punic War. During the Second Punic War they basically had no navy, which is clear from the historical record since battles like this one were far and few between (compared to the last war), showing Carthage couldn't challenge Roman naval supremacy. Carthage lost every naval battle in the 2nd Punic War, even when they outnumbered the Romans (and the Romans outnumbered them for the most part)

BazBattles is one my favorite channels ever. Having him in the Odysseus project would've been a blast. I'm not sure why he didn't join the Odysseus project, wasn't really my call. I can say that the fellas on the project are awesome blokes, and I wish I could've joined the recent Bronze age project but I couldn't due to other planned projects. I'll hopefully jump on board in future collaborations.
