COOPER! Have you ever considered playing for recording studios?!?! I'm a (straight) Rhythm Guitarist, very little lead, but with my style I've been in many groups mostly gospel. I started playing at 10, now at 69 I'm doing old style Country Music, with my baritone voice, guitar, and drum beat, people can't get enough of me. I'm no MR. Great video. I’m looking at pulling the trigger on an OM28 next to pair with my Taylor 317. Looking specifically for a Sitka/rosewood acoustic and originally wanted a OOO-18 but I prefer the longer scale length.

Those sweet overtones sounded like a couple of guitars playing at the same time! Loved the demo, especially the intro. Bottom line for me, the nod goes to the OM 18 you demo’d in the last video. Whenever I go custom, I’ll call you guys. Beautiful instruments.

I would like to see a comparison of the authentic om28 with coopers om. They seem super similar besides the slotted headstock on coopers. I'm doing research to pull the trigger on my forever guitar and atm the authentic 000 series is in the lead

Call me crazy, but I probably prefer the regular OM. The custom one is a bit too bright for my taste. It looks phenomenal though

It's known that a slotted headstock has an increased angle by as much as 1 to 1-1/2 to 2 degrees. This increase of the string angle off the nut may make for a more punchier sound response. The custom seems brighter to me. Slotted headstocks sure look cool but are a pain in the neck to re-string .

The Adi top should also more punch and volume over sitka. But the aged (VTS) sitka on the modern deluxe OM is really nice and the modern deluxe has aged Adi bracing just fyi. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that slotted headstock.

Question! What if I just wanted a 000-18 with just one difference from a standard one, namely a version in a high gloss black finish, top, back and sides, neck, everything black. Would Martin do such a thing and how much more would it cost? Just curious. It would be the guitar of my dreams, but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to afford it. But maybe there are other people here who’d want a similar thing. I always wanted to know. ❤

I sggest you guys look outside of Texas and the uS of A. Maton guitars are the choice of Tommy Emmanuel - and he should know-.They're made in Melbourne, Australia. They are great . I have a Taylor and wish I'd bought a Maton. Check them out.
