For anyone who’s read the Silmarillion, I’d like to think that something similar to the music at 2:02 would play when Eärendil and the Eagles came in the War of wrath, except with a full chorus singing what the one voice sings

Could be, but I have got here something more elven sounding.... kzbin.info/www/bejne/roOkfYt6ba95bJo from a Celtic mythology based game, Vindictus, this being the theme of one of the bosses, Regina the Elven Queen. Good for the armies of Valinor I dare say.

Their formation looks like a lot more than 9,000 troops. Judging by old WWII photos I've seen, it looks more like 20,000 mounted troops. Imagine a charge by 20,000 cavalry armed with lances, and bows. It is an irresistible force that will crush any infantry..

Where now are the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing? Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing? Where is the harp on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing? Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing? They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow; The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow.

Such thing actually existed. That battle took place at Eylau during the Napoleonic wars. A huge french cavalry force led by Marshall Murat like 5 times these numbers charged into Russia's army and won the day. Also known as the charge of the 80 squadrons.
