For me personally, he will always be remembered as the best ambience music composer of all time. Whenever you wander through the forests of skyrim or enter another abandoned mine, youll hear Jeremy Soul in the backround with his masterpieces. That's very good. I probably spent a lot more than 1000 hours on Minecraft, even though Skyrim is my favourite game and Minecraft is my 3rd. But I guess it makes sense since Minecraft is more of a platform for mini-games along with the survival and creative side of it, and you can find tonnes of mini-games by just hopping on popular mini games servers. However, Skyrim left a much bigger impact on me than Minecraft, even if I've spent less time on it.

@midgetydeath I think the very concept of 'good guys killing bad guys' is the problem. It isn't specific to video games, it is all over media and folklore. My main problem with video games specifically is promoting screen addition, just like excessive television. Just playing and using the imagination, or table top role playing at least promotes creativity and visualización. If kids would just fight eachother (constructively, preferably, like martial arts training) that would probably be better and they would learn physical skills. Violence, or the root of violence on some level seems innate in humans and it needs a good outlet. If a person is inclined toward brutal violence and homicide, they will probably also be drawn to especially violent games and media. It may be more of an indicator than a cause. The problem originated elsewhere. I am really aporeciating a trend in media lately, at least in some shows I have seen, of humanizing villians and showing their story. It helps people relate to how and when someone can make the choice to become 'evil'. Many people can be pushed in the right circumstances. Heroes included. Also the theme of redemption, being given a chance to earn trust and be better.
@sdsd-ne9hg4 жыл бұрын
@midgetydeath "Video games are about good guys killing bad guys and monsters and generally being heroes" Yeh... I lure npc's to the highest places i can find to see how far i can send them flying. Upon my honor I do swear undying loyalty to the Emperor and unwavering obedience to the officers of his great Empire. May those above judge me, and those below take me, if I fail in my duty. Long live the Emperor! Long live the Empire!

Not 20 seconds after I read this comment it hit me too. Something about this composition just reminds me of a reality that's been lost, but is still somewhere out there or in the heart.

Oh please. Veteran of war bs. You're not special. Stop making it a selling point.

It's cool how much power music can have. It's not the first time I'm listening, I got goosebumps and feels a bit like I fallen in love with her just because of her voice. :) impressive when music can elicit emotional responses like that.
