Battle of Weather Hills: Fall of Amon Sûl - Third Age Total War Gameplay

BATTLE STARTS AT: 7:47
In T.A. 1409 a great host issued from Angmar and invaded Cardolan and took Weathertop. A remnant of the Dúnedain of Cardolan held out in the Barrow-downs and the Old Forest. The last prince of Cardolan was interred in the Barrow-downs in this year When the forces of Angmar reached Weathertop they besieged it, until they broke through. The attackers subsequently burned, then razed the fortress to the ground. King Arveleg I was killed, but some of the Dúnedain retreated and escaped with the Palantír that was stationed there.
This is a custom Battle made by PaladinBob.
Third Age Total War is a mod for Medieval 2 Total War. Its is based on Lord of the Rings.

now THIS is a third age battle that is accurate not armies of just elites units where mordor has nothing but black numenorians (they had some but their armies were MASSIVELY heavy on orcs and uruks). ty so much apollo. it was glorious.

I remember playing this scenario in Battle for Middle Earth 2 The Rise of the Witchking, and I also remember being so frustrated with the game, because it was an awesome game but Angmar had SO MANY USELESS units, and Arnor's armies being OP in my opinion, but also you'd build a huge army and like 3 minutes later it's all wiped out because of those stupid mallon trees you had to destroy. Like seriously I remember only the heroes, the black numenorian archers, and the ice catapult being the only thing of any worth, the rest just were not worth wasting resources on.

I get really inspired by the lore of LOTR and Warhammer in my D&D games where battles of hundreds of thousands of people take place around the adventurers, and I feel like these videos are almost perfect representations in my mind of what they look like.
