yea, but the problem is they lied to all of there players is the issue using fomo and it will most likely drop there player base even more. if nothing is exclusive which is not a problem but then there is no compelling force to keep people playing. Being able to just get on whenever and buy whatever will kill daily active users making the skill gap, skill based match making, and bots in BR more of a problem. I enjoy the game alot but this could hurt the game and not the company because they will have already made that cash.

When I started playing, these skins were only 1 season old or the current seasons pass, and half the lobby wore them. It was amazing!! I loved seeing it, now if you ever encounter them you’re going to get triple edit pumped. I’ve missed when these skins were common, because they have always been beloved cosmetics and everyone should have a chance to play with them!

I also bought skull trooper back in 2017 and was happy with the purple edit style because rarity still meant something back then now I rarely/never use it anymore and would not care if people would use these old skins

I have all of those chapter one cosmetics except for the Renegade raider and aerial assault. I guess it being 2024 I just don't care anymore because chapter 5 didn't appeal too me and I stopped playing as much. But don't be surprised if the people who owned them before don't get something like extra styles and that could still be a thing.

2:54 not really… since it was much harder back then you would do one challenge like search 7 chests at risky reels and you’d get 5 battle stars do another challenge like get 5 trap eliminations you get another 5x battle stars. You needed 10 to get to the next tier it was much much harder back then, now its you gain one level (which is hella easy) you get one tier. So i don’t think it’s fair for the OG’s who grinded their way to get the so called “exclusive never returnning skins” back in 2017 just for it to come back

@leo_501 okay now we got a real argument going. Listen I was there at the towards the middle of chapter 1 to the end of chapter 1 so I know what it is to grind for stuff. It's been 7 years bro at some point even if it's not now they're going to re-release stuff from old battle passes even if they respect your wishes and don't do it now. Sure for one individual skin 15 minutes sure depends on the complexity of it it could be difficult or easy to come up with a new style but now there are a lot of other factors that come into play namely how if we're including every battle pass besides the last two which will be coming back that's over $240 skins that have to get alternate styles because a subset of the community once those alternate styles now if you have super styles that's a different story that is your ultimate styles but for chapter 1 skins which are what we're talking about if we're counting 8 * 10 that's 80 skins give or take they have to come up with ultimate styles for just because a subset of the community wants that That's a lot more time and effort than you would think for a company as big as epic. And they have to figure out how to program it and all this other small nuances that I wouldn't know of seeing how I'm not a developer. And also not everything needs an OG style stuff like the paradigm which yeah I can understand that getting in original owner style that was a limited time event thing yeah but after 7 years you have to realize the bow pass is really aren't that special like yeah there's some nostalgia and classic feeling to them but Epic is really trying to get rid of the whole exclusivity part of their game seeing how they're bringing back battle passes 18 months after release now and this is their best loophole to do it. And back then purple skull trooper there were not nearly as many skins in the game as there are now. So that's a bad example

The only things that should be exclusive our console exclusives and things like iconic and scenario stuff like that, stuff that you had to pay and exorbitant amount of money for and not some $10 that you paid for 7 years ago. Boohoo exclusivity. Y'all expect so much of Epic right The most that y'all need for more validation is a little pin in the locker that says you had it originally compared to everyone else Then you can flex. Cuz that's all that exclusivity glazing people want to do. And releasing an extra style that not everyone can have that just more validates the black market of the game that Epic really does not like

If Epic makes a pass for the return of chapter 1, likely its not bringing the original passes, that would be super disrespectful, getting Omega for example, getting Omega to max level was really grindy, Ice King is another example, I think they will make a "season OG" style battle pass, but maybe a massive one, lasting for the duration of this returned chapter 1 for all 10 months, 1 skin per month but with unlockable styles like in that chapter originally, like a mix of Carbide with Vendetta, simple 1st style, but during a month you get to upgrade it to the max, next month, in the same pass, not paying for a new one, maybe a Knight merging Black Knight with the Squires, again a simpler start, then unlocking more options.

My other post got deleted "for some reason" So lets try this again. OG Battle Passes are coming December 6th and are being added to Crew Subscriptions as well as being sold as a single battle pass. For people saying that Battle Passes are exclusive to the seasons that they were released in, those Seasons are coming back. Maybe they'll change some colors on the original skins but there will OG Battle Pass skins coming and players that missed out on them in the past, will be able to get them in the Future. That's the beauty of bringing back past seasons for Epic, new money for old work. I call it a Win, Win.

I've been playing since 2017, I have gotten all the battle passes and what not, and sure the exclusivity and rarity was fun and all at first but overtime you come to realize its nothing special, it wouldn't be the end of the world if it happens, enjoy the skins for what they are and their aesthetic not the rarity, you guys also have to realize Epic has made a lot of decisions the community has hated before and that didn't stop them one bit and neither did it stop the players, a bit of ranting, venting, and bitching but they got used to it and kept playing same case with the battle passes coming back, Epic kind of gave up on the whole community thing and caring about them and even the storyline to instead pursue profit and whos to say that stops them from caring about your little rarity when there is potentially additional substantial reserves of money to be made there, the people complaining are a vocal MINORITY, most people dont give a shit, so why would Epic care about the minority with 0 money to be made there when the majority who dont care will just buy buy and buy, assuming they come back it would be relatively speaking a small loss LONG term despite the would be instant outrage which would in time die out, but people would buy these battle passes and old skins to such an extent it would have made just letting the few with them keeping them a terrible economic decision, truth is some might just stop playing the game because of that and that would relatively be a very small amount of people, more would be very upset but stil keep playing the game and purchasing stuff because they still like Fortnite what it is which again even that is still a very small amount of people.
