Hello All! How are you all doing in the battle ranking?? I know I didn't do the commentary during the battle but check the description to see the main keys to this battle if y'all have a similar physical ice setup. Thanks for stopping by!

I haven't run at this yet, but things aren't looking good. I've gotten top 100 for almost all the Ranking Events aside from when I first started (ended up literally at rank 101 once...), but this time, I have neither a strong magic lightning or physical ice dps. I spent a lot of my crystals getting OB7 for Zack's current weapon (started playing after Murasame), and didn't pull on any Ice Physical (usually just rely on my Seph for Ice Magic and went hard on Seph/Zack magic banners on 6 month anniv rather than Cloud/Glenn). I am probably going to lose my top 100 streak unless 2 phys lightning DPS with a debuffer can do it against the Mech battle, which I don't think will do it considering neither of my DPS are OB10 and most advice I've seen points to Reno being the better option.

It seems like with your setup that you're just gonna have to keep playing around with the airbuster battle. Probably turn everything on except PDEF/MDEF and the PATK penalty. Zack might be able to carry you if you have Yuffie to support with PATK up and Debuffing lightning res. The third character could just be whoever youre strongest DPS is even if it isn't lightning or just Matt using centipede to decrease the overall damage you take. I honestly felt I wasn't gonna hit top 100 with this one either but lots of trial and error said reno was the easier fight for me. Either way top 300 is still good

@@CaponeToneTony tried double phys dps and got right under 800K for 30th in my group. That was surprisingly easier than I expected.

Nice! A couple suggestions: - Use Wind Slash on Yuffie instead of 4-Point Shuriken for more PATK. - Don't give Tifa Ice Potency. She's not using ice damage. I'm currently sitting at 770k. Hope that lasts through Wednesday. I'm using Ice Cloud too, but I can't seem to get Shiva off because I keep killing Reno too fast.

Congrats, you should definitely be safe... I think haha! I actually have a ton of probably better PATK weapons I could have given Yuffie and Tifa was using Blizzard blows the whole battle so I think the ice potency helped a little. I couldn't give silver staff to cloud because it would heavily hurt his PATK and/or Physical ability potency. I think this setup was about as good as I could do because it wasn't too OP where I would kill Reno too fast and not be able to cast Diamond Dust for the big Max 1 Hit Damage, but it wasn't too slow either. I think giving Yuffie PDEF stat sticks would probably improve the score since she gets targeted twice by having the most HP but either way I think we're both safe where we stand. I'm at 767K.

@@CaponeToneTony Nice! I actually didn't realize you were using blizzard blows with Tifa. I just assumed you were using her Guide Gloves for the attack because it would probably do more damage. Either way, it looks like our (very close!) scores might just be enough to make it. However, that last day is always crazy...

​@@TechJerI took my own advice and changed a couple of Yuffie's back weapons to lightning res/PDEF stat sticks which greatly reduced the damage she took. At 783K now

@@CaponeToneTony Nice! I got myself to 789k by adding one level of PDEF/MDEF, which allowed me to get Shiva off. It's looking like anything over 780 will comfortably make it.

Woof. Managed to break into Top 300 with using my Leviathan team for Airbuster. Shit is hard. I have got the various weapons for Reno but they’re not near as OB nor can I upgrade them to 110/120 because of course other weapons were upgraded for other content. I don’t have Yuffie winter outfit but turns out 150% uptime is still plenty of time. I’d be a lot better at this game if it was real turn based and I could plot out my moves. Having to switch around and do everything perfectly timed in real time just isn’t in my wheelhouse.

Hey top 300 is still good! And I kinda agree that I wish the game had maybe a tactical mode somewhat because even in manual mode the CPU will just do whatever the hell it wants and it drives me crazy lol

Made it top 300 with the Reno battle but frankly I'm too lazy to figure out the battle manually to do better lmfao I think I'm just below 700k points Also I can't do lvl 200, stuck at lvl 190 so won't get the last crystals

Yeah Im struggling with level 200 too and honestly I'm not gonna bang my head over 100 crystals so it's fine 😂
