Wonder how effective it would be pairing this build with Aeriths synergy comet pairing build he mentioned while also having Aerith with the provoke materia. So Aerith provokes the enemy drawing their attention and then everytime Yuffie uses an ability, Aerith has her Radiant ward up, taking 0 damage during her super long cast time? too risky perhaps?

I wouldn't recommend that just because she isn't at all bulky, for starters, so provoke is really helpful for specifically Barret and Red 13. Radiant Ward doesn't really give her that invincibility that the description provides, because outside of maybe the first couple of chapters, any attack that would give Aerith knockback would damage her like normal inside the ward. I'm by no means an expert at the game or even with Aerith, I felt obligated to share this because I've taken a bunch of L's with her because I had went in assuming she would be more "invincible" with that ward than she actually was.@@salatrin2198

Unfortunately this is due to the general setup of overworld games. Attack speed/Movement speed almost always trumps in any form of dps setting.

It's Yuffie's doppelganger that makes her OP. Use Mind blast with doppelganger does huge stagger damage to any enemy in the vicinity. Then you got her 3 ATB cost ability that does huge damage as well. GG.

Personally I use Doppelganger to double cast -aga spells. It's like playing Aerith, but you don't have to stand in the ward, you don't spend double mana (clone's cast doesn't consume any), and she's waaayyy faster.

You can use the Assess materia for enemies you haven't scanned in the combat simulator if you went around the world map gathering intel, that way you won't need to run all the way back for enemy spawns.

I had to Assess a Levridon because it only appears one time in the entire game outside the, again, one time it appears in the combat simulator. I wasn't about to clear an entire Chapter's quest data just for one quest that has the Levridon appear. I think you can reset Completed Quest data but I didn't want to experiment lol.

Long time ff fan. Relative to the souls games. Hard mode is not that difficult. Grind a few levels and do side quests. Personally, I'm going for 100% completion, so I'm doing every little thing. Honestly, the hardest thing is the mini games. Actual combat isn't all that tough. Stock up on some potions and Phoenix down. Transmute whatever other consumables you need. Don't let labels define your adventure. Have fun. Try the most difficult mode off the bat. The appeal of the games will really shine.

This is basically my build for Cloud since I primarily play with him. I use the increased ATB rate weapon skill, and then have elemental materia linked to Fire and Ice materia to always be doing elemental dmg. Set up discharge at the beginning of the battle and have three elements covered with every hit. I’m still experimenting though.

I use this for Cloud as well except after plasma discharge I do a Sonic Boom, which grant you faith and bravery. Powerful combo imo

There's so much you can do with her it's insane, rn I have her as my main dps spamming ninjitsu with doppelgänger then spamming blindside or enemy skills or anything really until her banishment is full and then letting that rip. ATB assist materia with this turns her into an ATB farm for everyone else too. Also been playing with a darkside build but I'm still tryna work out how to manage the HP loss from darkside. Easily my favourite character

Even before this video, I found that Yuffie had become as essential as Barret. I used to keep Tifa as a primary party member, but going through Hard Mode, Yuffie has so much versatility with her Ninjitsu, she's practically indesposeable.

Pro tip: If you missed accessing enemies in the field, you can actually access the ones in the battle simulator and it still counts. You can get a majority of the ones you need just from there.

I believe you can actually do this build on many characters. Yuffie is one of the best to do it on since many of her abilities cast quickly, but since the fundamental tactics come from materia you could do this build on anyone. While he isn't as good at hitting aerial enemies, Cait Sith might actually be a better character to build around because he has so many ways to gain Luck and thereby increase his crit chance. Like Yuffie, he has several very quick abilities in the form of Let's Ride, Dodge'n'Dive and, to a lesser extent, Fortune Telling, and also like Yuffie, his natural Speed stat is quite high. He doesn't have as many useful long-range abilities like Yuffie does, but the constant explosions from Plasma Discharge mean that you really want to be in melee to get the full benefit from this build anyway. IMO, the main benefit of Yuffie specifically is that she can alter her elemental output to be whatever the enemy is weak to, while Cait Sith's elemental output is largely random and his most consistent damage type is physical. Cait Sith is also easier to knock around than Yuffie, though Yuffie is pretty easy to knock around as well. Still, Cait Sith is definitely worth at least testing this build on if you enjoy his play style and are interested in trying this build.

I was using Yuffies doppelganger with Aeriths Arcane Ward to do 4 aga spells for the cost of 1. To make it even more absurd you could pair it with the swift caster materia so it doesn't take as long to cast.

I do something similar with Red XIII, but with atb charge as it essentially turns it into an attack when you use it. And then while using sentinel mode which gets you atb, then his spin attack absolutely fills atb like crazy all while filling his limit bar insanely fast. when i tried that build, weirdly not every full ATB did a plasma discharge.. what am doing wrong? does the skill had an iternal cooldown? its about every 3rd ATB that does the discharge when i quickly refil the ATBs. am i missing something?

might be that one of the patches nerfed it, I do not know as not playing the game right now. There might be indeed an internal cooldown on it now as how broken it was. Check what the ability says? As this did work before.
