Battle Report! Ep. 2 - Flank Attack - Warhammer Fantasy 5th edition

In the wake of the ambush on the baggage train in our previous battle report, Old One Eye flees to a nearby town to warn the inhabitants that the Dark Elves are coming, and summon the help of a nearby garrison-but will they arrive in time? Tune in and find out!

You'll be pleased to know that WFB 5th Edition _does_ have a skirmish rules system. It is called "Mordheim."

I see your point, but in my mind Mordheim is its own system, separate and apart from WHFB (even though the former is built upon the latter). I had in mind a more all-purpose skirmish system that accommodates the existing army books, as the one in the 6th ed. rulebook (and later supplement) did. So far as I'm aware, Mordheim never officially supported Dark Elves.

Wasnt Mordheim released around 6th ed wfb? Though I recall the prototype version of it being released in WD around 5th (maybe?)

@@Mrkabrat-Mordheim released very near the end of 5th, in '99. 6th kicked off the following year.

@@Mrkabrat Yep Mordheim is based on 5th Edition. It came out during 5th Edition and uses the 5th Edition rules as a basis (for example, great weapons always strike last, even on the charge). You may be thinking of "Skirmish," which was the 6th Edition rulebook's version of the Mordheim rules (updated for 6th Edition, of course).

I probably should've shoved the mage into a unit, but that balcony was just calling out to me! Even though the scouts sniped him off his perch, he arguably still did more than that disobedient hydra! 😅
