The Spearmen should have Fallen Back in Good Order, and could have used Shieldwall on top to only Give Ground. Both rules I missed as there are literally several hundred pages of rules going through my head across multiple game systems and for multiple people. I'm good, but not that good, mistakes happen 😅 No need for me to reply to it for the 8th time now 😂

There is no such thing as a perfect game of Warhammer Fantasy (and now the Old World). Every single game a rule will be forgotten or sumsuch. This isn't simple 40k after all! Lol

You might have made a rules mistake here but I think thematically it makes sense. Like imagine if you were one of these spearmen and a giant Gorgon beast charged your ranks plus some crazed buffed minotaurs.. Perhaps psychologically it would have been too much to take in this particular instance 😄 Interesting nonetheless! 🙂

I can't wait for more old world, the only criticism i have is a little more detail in the army building/list segments, i wanna know the details of all the units and the reasoning, and maybe even a little story behind the army lists you've built, either in universe or irl stories.

remember swiftstride is optional. So if you are fleeing or pursuing you roll 2d6 first, then decide if you want to use the extra dice from swift stride. The fact that it's optional is one of my favorite changes for tactical reasons.

@22:30 Under "Outclassed in the arts" the rule states: 'If a natural double 1 is rolled when attempting a Wizardly dispel, the Wizard is outclassed by their opponent's skill. Roll immediately on the Miscast table to see what fate befalls your Wizard (changing references from 'cast' to 'dispel' and from 'perfect invocation' to 'unbinding').' So the spell should have been unbound, but chef wouldent be able dispell for the rest of the turn.

@@tabletoptactics The Great Bray-Shaman is also T5 so all the S4 hits are wounding on 5+ not 4+. Also the Gor charging the Etheral unit could still swing with Hand Weapons because of ensorcelled Weapons being Magical Attacks (They just don't use the additional hand weapons)

No, the dispel wouldn't work, as the chalice states "If the bearer of the Plague Chalice rolls any natural double when making a Casting roll (not including rolls of a natural double 1)". In general, natural 1s always fail, no matter what.

@21:25 If you contact an enemy with the overrun it counts as a new Charge so you get to wheel to maximize and all that. @22:37 You replace "cast" for "dispel" when looking at the miscast results when dispelling. So in that case the spell would have been automatically Dispelled, but then no more Wizards could Dispel for the rest of the turn. (I think they should release a "Dispelling Miscast Table" in the FAQ to clear this up)

I believe the 'C' is pronounced in the style of the gaelic/celtic vernacular, as a 'K'. Was always pronounced as 'Krace' when I played from 6th ed onwards in GW stores. Seems to be a lot of streamers pronouncing the 'ch' like chase. Like you said Chef, no 't'.

A point of note for the bolt throwers, unless chef was just insanely lucky every volley the repeater shot is D3+3 shots not a flat 6. With the way he rolled it probably didn't matter but it is worth noting. Outside of that loved that game and can't wait to see more of their old world content!
