Back in the 1990s a comic book story called MARVEL VS DC already had those 2 fight and Thor won but personally I disagree and think it should have been SHAZAM because he is a rival to Superman and Superman beats Thor in my opinion so anyone on a par with him should also win.

Thor, Thor can control all lightning (this was even demonstrated when he fought Shazam in the original fight, and he's recently used this ability against Storm too. This means Shazam''s healing lightning will never touch Shazam unless Thor wants it too, it also means Shazam's offensive lightning isn't going to hit Thor (not that it would really hurt him anyways. Shazam definitely isn't worthy of Thor's hammer...he's a kid after all...even King Aurthur as a child couldn't lift Thor's hammer, and he'd be more worthy. To lift the hammer, you have to have strong leadership abilities and be able to take a life when needed, and know when it's not needed. Shazam doesn't possess those qualities. (you also have to be honorable and noble, which Shazam does possess...many heroes do, but the same reason Spiderman can't lift Thor's hammer is the same reason Shazam can't. The only DC hero I think that could lift Thor's hammer is Wonder Woman. Thor's stronger and more durable, but Shazam is faster...Thor has a lot...lot more fighting experience (about 5,000 years more). Thor also has a ton of powers so does Shazam, but I'm not sure either of their powers are going to come into play much (other than Thor's ability to control lighting, ,which only really neutralizes Shazam's lightning abilities. While Thor does have magic lighting, i don't think this could be used to turn Captain Marvel back into Billy. So it's pretty much going to be a brawl, and that's certainly going to Thor.

That’s the same thing I said, I don’t think Thor’s lightning would turn him into a child. Plus I don’t even think Thor would know he’s a child in a man’s body (when he’s Shazam) cause it would most likely be a random encounter. Like Marvel and DC do a crossover where Thor somehow ends up in the DC Universe and Shazam doesn’t know he’s not an enemy, then they start fighting. Then depends on where there fighting at will also depend on who’ll win, cause we all know hero’s with super strength are always picking up stuff and throwing and hitting each other with it.

Rune king Thor and Thor warrior madness is far stronger than superman. He has no clear or distinctive weakness and storm breaker can penetrate and kill any opponent regardless of how invincible he/she is.

He does have a weakness bro what the heck are you talking about!? He can be tricked into saying his name and turning himself back to Billy, Superman has did it before several times to him. Then he’s still a child and sometimes still has no idea how to fully use his power (depending on what version of him you use). He might not have weaknesses like Supes does when it comes to kryptonite and magic, but those are big disadvantages that could cause him to lose.
