Man this brings back so many memories. I like how you used the same team and strategy as BozotheBear and people from smogon back in the day haha. Trick is such a great (and effective) way to get on a huge win streak in the battle tower since the AI never switches out after being locked into the same move, so you can just switch out to one of your sweepers to set up on it. Great video! 🙏

Wow I was really hoping the BP yield would keep increasing as your streak extends. Sad to know the cut off is so early at 7. Incredible run brother. This was always the late game grind.

Im trying to set up the same team kinda. Gonna switch out the 3rd for ribbon master quest. But would a jolly latias work too? Because I see it has no attack moves at all and jolly is speed + sp. attack-. So the strat should still work right?.

Yeah, Jolly is fine. The only very minor downside is if Latias is confused, it'll do more damage to itself than if it was Timid.

@@IAmHeratic it worked, got the 49th battle ribbon on the second attempt because an Arcanine flare blitz bitched up my whole team. Now do you have a strategy for doubles?.or can I somehow incorporate these same Pokemon into a strategy you think?.

You should be ok, but you probably want to invest more EVs into SpDef instead of Def to make up for it.

Is metagross good to replace registeel?

Probably not, just taking a quick look at Gross.... it doesn't seem like it has an similar set to Registeel and it is, while not bad, worse than Registeel defensively (lower Def/SpDef, no resistance to Ghost/Dark). You need Regi because it can boost up on things that try to hit Latias with stuff like Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, Night Slash, etc. Metagross can take those hits but not as well as Registeel and it can't boost as well as it either.

What happens if you run into Wondergaurd Shedinja?

Wonder Guard Shedinja doesn't exist in the Battle Tower :] But if it did, I'd probably end up PP stalling it to death and, depending on the moveset, end up with Registeel fully set up.

Could work to a degree. Latias has better defenses though and it could be useful to keep it for charm/t-wave.
