Sonic in general needs a hard reboot, to at least got back to Adventure series, nearly all the characters have been ruined, Sonic went from his optimistic and energetic self to being lazy and annoying with bad jokes. Tails went from someone who can stand on his own to a coward damsel in distress who cant even face Chaos 0 when he took down Chaos 4. Knuckles from being the introvert guardian of the Master Emerald who had a serious mindset, to comic relief and a idiot who seems to forgot the Master Emerald even exists. Amy from being that girl that had a crush on Sonic but was able to help others even against Sonic such has Gamma, to being a obsessive stalker to prioritizes Sonic over anything. Shadow from being this conflicted character that ultimately found himself and despite his violent and serious nature he cares for his friends and respects them, to just being an edgelord that cares for nobody, and picks on anyone. Eggman from being this crazy scientist that was a real menace, that had more to his character which was mainly seen in adventure 2, to just being an idiot that everyone makes fun off, even his own creations. Only character that i can think off that actually got better was Silver, going from his pessimistic and naive character, to someone willing to face Infinite on his own and prove to everyone that he isnt invincible and believing theres always hope. Seriously, SEGA needs to get their shit together, nearly all current Sonic games feel like filler, with Lost World being the best example, and the characters have lost their charm, and also the issue with Classic Sonic, leave him alone, he doesnt need to be next to Modern Sonic, if you wanna keep using him, then keep him in his own timeline has a spin-off series, similar to the 2D Mario games, his appearance in Forces was straight up pointless.
