Hi your video popped up on the frontpage algo "HIdden compliment" 🐵 I played cod4 promod too as an smg role only back in 2010 and forward at the age of 20 ish, for iQPAD and other good teams in Denmark and really seen the scene shrine, and been lucky to face other good orgs at the time like fnatic, h2k, reason gaming, etc. Havent played a game yet today that beats it in competitive level and flow design 250 fps and one of the smoothest movement to date. First thing I did was trying to see if you could strafe in battlebit too, but no, its not like the quake engine. If you hold down W and combine it with A/D you run slower in this game somehow, and W + A/D and a smooth 90 degree swing with your mouse is the way to perform a strafe jump in cod4 + pressing C if you wanna min/max air distance to the ground or reach higher distances. Here in Battlebit, you have to hold W only and then you can swing your mouse as crazy as you want in the air to make snakey movements, but if you try crouching or hold A/D in the air it get messed up and you lose tempo. Only C jump if you wanna aim for a narrow window or gap imo. Also one thing to mention any vault/climb makes you able to fall fatal distances without taking any dmg - you kinda already showed that in the video 🧙‍♂

Cool! I doubt that tho :) Played for iqpad for around ½ a year without any LAN attending, before my mili enlistment. And I never returned to academy lvl again after that. Before that I played for Danish teams only like VIP, aju and raH gaming. Where VIP and aju was academy lvl with decent matches, but underdog teams compared to other EU giants. Lots of the footage is gone now because Xfire went down "the social program we used for cod4" deleting all its database for scoreboards, screenshots etc.. Also LoL was a new game at the time and took over my interrest. Still have a few nostalgia clips left on yt tho, but it was right before my peak :) At peak I figured out I didnt have time to both study, 5v5 scrim and edit stuff at the same time. this game is very good to smal streamers like me for example i have a potatoe pc and cant stream normal games like bf1 i have to play with low settings in this game i can play in potatoe settings and still stream this is a big opurtunity

its battlefield but looks like unturned, whatever direction your mouse is aiming is the direction you'll move in battlefield. no fall damage if you hit a mantle is kinda cool but it is most certainty not separated from every other fps out right now lol, one of the biggest franchises has like 10 games with the same movement mechanic

You can still take Fall damage from a mantle, but a mantle can stop a lethal fall.

Is there anyway to make your jumps longer in this game with strafing or all jump are the same lenght ?

You have to be holding shift to maximize your jump i dont believe air strafing actually makes you gain distance, just make sure your holding your pistol or med box and sprinting for max speed

Something I wanted to add on about bunny hopping. This definitely isn't the type of game where you set scroll wheel to jump, and try to do another jump frame perfectly as soon as you land. That being said, if you wait a small amount after you land and then jump, you can sort of bunny hop how you can in other games.

Pf is similar but definitely much more cod like in its gameplay, lack of inertia and things like superman jumping and sliding and gameplay in general make it fundamentally different, still a pretty fun game nonetheless imo

PF also is on Roblox, making it unappealing to some, has loot boxes for skins, which is unappealing for those who like CoD style grinding, doesn’t have vehicles, which usually has a dedicated community with tons of players, and doesn’t have nearly the same lobby sizes, which means PF plays a lot more like a larger CoD than a BF title. VOIP is also bigger than you think; takes away some of the sweatiness and adds in a way to casually play the game for some. Edit: I don’t mind PF but I agree with @secariel1310 in saying this isn’t really 100% comparable to PF

@@ItsFJC I mean. But how tho. Seems like you peak out as much as you do just strafing. Or does it like move the point of aim and point of view far enough away from the characters physical model that it helps? If its just a lean to the side, you'd still see just as much shoulder and head, just not the torso and legs. And people do it out in the open too. What advantage is that? It doesnt shrink the hitbox, Sure it changes the orientation of your head if you are trying not to get headshot, but thats only if the person trying to headshot you is only orienting your head in static relation to your upright body position.

@@117johnpar if you do it mid gun fight, it affects where the person has to aim at you and you may even "dodge" some bullets so to speak, but it is a very good tactic to make the other player miss

Way I see it, because this is a Battlefield-like game it doesn't really matter. Or at least not nearly as much as it would in any BR, or something small-scale like Call of Duty. If a bunch more people start playing "hard" that doesn't stop me from messing around with RPGs, suicide C4, voice chat shenanigans, etc. Whereas in other games if the lobby is mostly playing hard then it cancels out my ability to play in whatever way I see fun.
