I love battlebots Why people were disappointed at s6 is because it didn't live up to its potenial. S6 could have been the best season ever, it had the greatest field with big names, so that sounded like we could see great fights. And while we did had great fights, there were some disastrous decisions from the producers. The upper deck no one likes (although I respect battlebots for experimenting with change), no jenny taft segments (not even a replacements for her), only 7 fights instead of 8 (c'mon, s4 & s5 had 8 fights but not this season? Especially when no jenny taft? No one wants highlighted fights at all), some bots only having 2 fights in fight card which ruined the seedings, and the worst finale ever with 2 major controversies that no one understands how to stay respectful over difference. It just seems like battlebots didn't take risks for changes we want but changed things we didn't ask for. I just pray for s7 they learn from their mistakes and listen to the community feedback. I personally liked s6, tho I can't say for certain it was the greatest season, it definitely wasn't the worst Not to mention the rule changes & confusion. S6 had a rule where OOTA in the door buffer zone was banned and when we saw hydra OOTA gruff, they treated like the rule didn't exist and it was never a thing. I mean I didn't like the rule in the first place but why confuse us with not enforcing a rule? And then the crab walking count out felt really weird, which sparked controversies. Past seasons felt more lenient, this one felt too strict, even if crab walking across the arena isn't good enough, hence why minotaur team kept arguing with ref.

Great video!! Subbed. All I'd add is that even in pro sports, the best teams play the worst teams.. The goal is to have roughly even selchedules. I think they fixed a lot of that issue in the current season.

For me it could be better there are a lot of legit concerns here, but I still love it and am glad bonus fights go online. It needs to promote itself a little more, I do think if they want to get people interested they need more battles per show, especially for the qualifiers or put them online with the best on the show to highlight the bots makers, or do online interviews in length. As a fan its sometimes frustrating to wait 15 or more minutes for a 30 sec battle. So to a casual person I could see that not being very entertaining or wanting to get into the teams personality as much. But as you watch longer and longer want to then learn more. As a a start I just want to see as many designs and bot battles as possible. It would also be cool to have grudge matches where the bot owners can challenge each other. And now that armor has gotten so toughI could see the battle arena changed to have a powerful horizontal or vertical spinner that control bots can use, because the saws do nothing it seems. So a smaller step, and more destructive hazards.

This was a great and comprehensive video. This season has been the most polarizing for sure, but at least it’s been fun to watch and get hyped for the fights. Hope to see more commentary style videos especially about BattleBots!

You're getting a like and more than 5 views. I don't subscribe to cable, but I know I couldn't watch the BB show live, when so little of the show is actual fights. The producers should have a subscriber stream of all fights. But no doubt their contract with discovery+ probably forbids this.

I have to say I think it was the best one. Maybe season 4 beats it…. But the final ep was nearly the perfect hour and a bit of entertainment. Explosions, controversy, close calls, it was amazing. It’s a shame the final fight was a bit poor. And god damn it all I love the shelf. And I love Tantrum. EDIT - and it had Minotaur v Endgame 2, which is the best fight of all time I think.

Almost two years later and we can all agree that all the changes it made for Season 7 worth it. We need to criticize when there's some things that doesn't work. The show really takes in consideration the words of the fans and I'm glad they attended to all the complains they had with season 6. The Season 7 was THE BEST OF ALL TIME by scandal, and seeing a non vertical spinner with four wheels to take the win it's amazing. Even more if you think the runner up it's one of the most unlikely designs of the entire field.

In hindsight, yes, it was a bad season. It's probably the worst season if we're being honest. But WC7 is really good so far, so it's all ok.
