I agree did try this weapon in operation Devil's anvil Fort Devaux with my platoon 32nd and drawback is high recoil due to its 700 rounds per minute fire rate if you fired the entire magazine.

I absolutely love the MG14. The Supressive variant is so difficult to control, I'm still trying to figure out how to best use it for medium/long range. I tend to go back to the MG15 Supressive, as it's much easier to control - just wish it had the fire rate of the MG14. The low weight just destroy enemy squads in close/medium range fights, it's an absolute beast.

Tip: if you are trying to unlock Low Weight- to destroy planes use Perino. Big mag and fast reload. If you dont have Perino- use MG15 nA or Lewis Suppresive.

Unlocked the low weight variant after about 3-4 hours of doing nothing but shooting at planes. I cannot for the life of me figure out when I would use it over the Perrino or MG15.Na which with it's water cooled barrel can have much longer sustained fire (~60 rounds to overheat compared to the mg14's ~35) the Perrino can be fired continuously, but the mg14 has to be burst fired more.

I think the recoil needs to be reduced a little bit. It’s insane in CQB, and when you slap they bipod down it’s a laser beam.

Sky Flier its still nowhere near a laser with the bipod. But at least on console, a horizontal kick reduction sounds great. Maybe 25% less.

Wtf... EVERYTIME i see a service star pop up in a video, it is always for 5000. ALWAYS. I love this gun though, the Supressive Variant is very unusable at long ranges, but great at midranges fired in bursts. The Low-Weight variant is my favorite out out the support class, closely followed by the Perino Lowweight. It's an absolute shredding machine and has a fixed place in my loadout. The best thing about support in general is that the class has no actually bad weapons. They are all great and excel in their own ranges.

Imo the sights on the MG14/17 is good but with the mad recoil i'm better off with the AA because you can track your enemy better with the AA sights because the iron sights have a big metal block thing under it which obstructs your view.
