i remember playing a really close 5v5 match on this map almost 20ys ago, one of the best in the DC mod

Was it this mod that inspired Dice to make Battlefield 2?

Yes, Trauma Studio made the mod, got bought out by DICE, was milked of all it's assets and code which made BF2 and then subsequently fired. It was very disappointing because a couple years back the guys who made Counter Strike were being absorbed into Valve as full timers. So to see corporations destroy the little guy like that was really sad (2004 I think).
