BF2 was incredible. Played it so much when i was a kid. I was actually a monster, dropping 60+ consistenly while playing the objectives. Getting max rank took FOREVER but the ranks and diversity of medals with some high requirements were super rewarding. The Burst g36c on the medic was my go to towards the end. Pkm was a beast G3... lots of great weapons.

One more: Unlike other games, BF2 count your ammo as Magazines, not bullets, so keep in mind you fire until your mag empty or you will waste mostly entire bullet in mag when you reload.

I used to play so much BF2 when I was around 12-15 years old. I played it around the same time the PS3 and CoD4 got released but BF2 was still the superior game to me. I used to play it with my brother and it was just soooo much fun. Peak Online multiplayer PC gaming in my opinion. It will never be like this again. Recently I have found a new game that really reminds me of BF2 and gives me almost the same nostalgic vibe from it. It's called "Hell Let Loose". I am just writing this for people like me who really loved BF2 and want to try something in todays gaming desert that might bring them some joy in gaming again. HLL really did that to me.

Yeah, I'm in North America, but I actually play on LAN with my Dad. There's a bunch of awesome mods to check out with custom weapons, vehicles, and other assets. A few I can recommend are AIX, Hard Justice, USI (U.S. Intervention, basically Gulf War), Firebird, and if you want to play Squad but can't afford or run it, Project Reality.

BF2 still gets played a ton on my PC because of all the awesome mods for it. Modding really has kept this game alive all these years. (Which is exactly why the AAA studios no longer allow modding of a lot of these games, as they want to hook you on buying the latest game every few years.)

Not at all, unlock weapons are important because their charecteristics are diffrent. Its not only about damage or range. It also about agility, reload time, and fire temp. You right game dont have better or worse weapon but some guns suits for some game style more than stock m4 or rpk for example. I noticed standard weapons are more balanced between accuracy, range, and damage. Second unlock more accurate, long range, high damage but slower like G3A3. And last one for example FN2000 or SCAR-L have holographic sights which dont slow your charecter when u are looking through them, more faster, mid range and mid damage. A little bit diffrent with shotguns and sniper rifles but game allows u to choose better weapon especially for you. For example I really like assault class, grenade launcher and mid body armor really suits for me but m4 sometimes betrayed me in close quaters situations because burst mode dont do his job in kinda situations. But when I unlocked g3a3 I start to eliminate players on mid distance and it save my ass in CQ, cuz g3a3 slow but really high damage. Its enough 2 bullets in top of the body to kill. So sure experinced players will good with any weapon but with some guns you will be better I'm sure. If u want to try it u can only unlock it or pick up from dead body.

In one of the matches that I will not forget, I attacked a fighter plane with the machine gun of my helicopter and it had not yet taken off before the enemy climbed to it. Then the enemy destroyed my helicopter and I landed from the helicopter safely.. Interestingly, when his plane was about to take off from the ground, I shot it with my carbine rifle. To explode before the fighter takes off from the ground!!!

Kinda nostalgic. I was an F2000 + grenade launcher + flash bang specialist in official BF2 server. Really miss BF2. The mechanic of the game is really good. You need to be still to be able to shoot accurately. Unlike modern FPS game where you can run and gun.

Something to add, netcode is dodgy mostly due to its age. I played it for thousands of hours back in the day, regularly as well as competetively in helicopter 1v1/2v2s. Prior knowledge for which you only have my word for established: i haven't played the game in more than ten years i doubt the netcode has changed at all. This is especially the case for helicopter pilots, it screws up the hitboxes so you need to steer your TV missile* to where the enemy helicopter/jet was a second ago. Also if you're planning to become a helicopter pilot: -Practice seat switching, it could be your pilot/gunner eats a M95 shot from Kirste or you'll get a pilot which thinks an attack helicopter makes for a good taxi and/or jumps the second you're taking fire. While it is probably still forbidden on some servers, it's good to be able to defend yourself against enemy helicopters and jets if need be (and you'll take the kick instead of the death, trust me.). It's very easy to get used to, press collective up(probably W), pull backwards, gunner seat, fire, kill, pilot seat. Why pull backwards? so you end up outside of the other helicopters TV missile range, you'll get a feeling for the ranges of TV missiles with time. -Get good with the TV missile, like i mentioned before, hitboxes are fucky, get a mate in another helicopter and seatswitch each other to death while doing your best trying to evade. There are some maneuvres which make your hitbox even more screwed up than it already is, you'll have to look these up yourself. Yes, you have to click for the missile to move. No, you're not going to use an autoclicker. -Get a friend to be your dedicated gunner/pilot. You have no idea if the dude jumping in is a TV god hopped up on mountain dew and speed or johnny which installed the game ten minutes ago. I have met some very good pilots and gunners which just jumped into my helo, but 90% of people which hop in make you wish you were an infantry player. And oh boy, even if you have a mate willing to be your gunner/pilot and you win the *stand in the right spot at the helipad and hold E* competition with the other sixteen idiots, if someone other than your mate hops in, they will not hop out. They will just refuse to jump out which leads to you flying to the map border and hanging them out into the red zone until they perish. Bonus points if you tailswipe them off the helipad with the broomhawk before the cobra spawns. Also, holy crap BF2L is still a thing? Ze battlefield zwei lebt jaaa P.S. after reading it again and skillfully ignoring spelling errors and screwed up sentences: I feel like i made BF2 sound somewhat negative and while *pffft i'm not gonna change it* i feel the need to point out that there is a reason i played it for thousands of hours, something which didn't occur for any other game since, especially not the newer battlefields, pff screw those. The game is damn good and there is a lot of fun to be had once you're somewhat good at what you're doing. I wish i could go back in time, get home, boot up my old ass PC, immediately connect to teamspeak 2 and boot up Battlefield to play with my mates for hours on end. Simpler times, perhaps better times if we ignore it was during the financial crisis of which i was so blissfully unaware of. Thanks for your attention and have a great life.

The original Battlefield 2, those were the days. I was lucky enough to participate in the BEST, most fun mod ever created: Total Retardation 2! It could only be played by people who had a sense of humor and played for fun, not kill/death ratios. Tanks with bright pink spoilers, jeeps with 100ft tall two dimensional Doom cyberdemons on top of them, jets with boat physics, and it only got sillier with changes done to the player kits. Sniper shots were slowed drastically and the bullet waa now a box, Support LMG had immense kickback and could be used like a rocket jump, engineer shotgun shells fired a spread of shot with each one having the destructive force of a tank, etc. It was fun and its like has not been since yey

I bought the game from Kinguin, they give me 2 keys and a link, the link give me the download of the game, one key for activation and the other one is for DLC, but I eon’t know where type that key to receive dlc

If it's the Special Forces Expansion Pack, then you must download it. There isn't any way to activate "dlc's" via a key. If it's another Expansion Pack, then you don't need to do anything. With the last patch Battlefield 2 already includes all Expansion without Special Forces.
