Besides the constant medals and spotting noises, the flying in that game looks stunning for an old game like that. The maneuverability in the skies, the resupplying over deployment airfields, the gun running, all of it looks phenomenal! I can understand why so many people thought BF2 was the best BF game.

Back when battlefield actually had good teamwork and truly felt like combined arms warfare. Nowadays it's just stunts, funny moments, and selfish players who don't care for teamwork at all. There may be the occasional team player in BF3/4, but barely anyone works together nowadays. Remember when it was necessary to have a good commander and squad to win? It's just solo, selfish play now.

+compmanio36 Oh there are a bunch of things broken or wrong with the game. Yes Lots of people say it's perfect or the best but that isn't the right point they should be making. It's that there were so many features/things in the game that worked and were useful that it made up for the broken and bad aspects of the game. Compared that to the newer versions of Battlefield that are multiplatform they have far less features and things that people find useful that function correctly compared to the things that are broken.

+compmanio36 Best fps ever. I agree also it had a lot of shortcomings but you get used to the radio spam and grenade spam is usually only on Karkand. The majority of people playing bf2 on Gameranger nowadays arent complete idiots so its still a ton of fun. While bf3 is entertaining continually, bf2 just gives you that sense of satisfaction and teamwork that's almost totally forgotten in the newer bf. In bf2 the individual player rarely made a difference..none of that cod shit.

I hated commanders like that... Usually they were the turtle coms, you know, the ones that stayed at base in cover all game. I was a "Fighting" commander which most servers would boot or ban... But i was and probably still am in the top 5% of coms in BF2. I was damn good, i was pissed that they took it out in BFBC and didnt put it back in in BF3. Nothing like being in the field helping your troops while you command. oh oh... Remember Commader battles with supply crates and cars? Ooh the days!

google BF2 ENB mod. Most games have several versions of ENB mods created for them that add bloom effect or realism textures to make games looks nice but they can make games laggy if you have slower PC hardware. Similar ENB mods have been made for other games like GTA 3 or GTA 4 for example

I don't think so but it won't matter soon as punkbuster is dropping BF2 and not to mention gamespy servers are going offline for BF2 / BF2142 and BF1942 as announced after May 30th 2014 so you won't be able to log in which will affect online gameplay and player accounts without ranking. However BF2 mods like Project Reality and Forgotten Hope have a strong online playing community and have overcome this for their own modded game and unique weapons/vehicles and maps for online gaming with 100+players per server which is awesome for battles. Also there is a project on website revivebf2 DOT COM which is working on a modified BF2 which will use its own master server browser and also adding custom maps and possibly going to keep ranked accounts they are trying. BF2 is far from dead check out those 2 mods both are very popular online. KZbinr Bluedrake42 has a lot of videos especially for Project Reality and is recently making video's for Forgotten Hope. Eventually the team who develops Project Reality will be moving to CryEngine 3 using the free SDK to develop Project Reality 2.0 but we are more then 12months away I would suspect before we see a public alpha but it's going to be free to play and the community at the realitymod forums are very excited with what the future will bring. In the meantime join all the BF2 veterans on Project reality and shoot those talibans!

Cristiano Silva Não existe mod 1.5, 1.5 e 1.4 são as versões oficiais do jogo. Eu já tenho o complete collection na origin atualizado na última versão, mas o gráfico desse cara é melhor, mesmo eu rodando no máximo meu jogo. Parece que as cores são mais nítidas, não sei dizer.

I don't recall what the specific flight model differences were but it was an in between of the F35 and the J10. The main thing about it though before the very late "last" patch to the game was it was better at fighting against other jets than the F35. The F18's missiles seemed to not fly off or miss like the F35's missile, especially against the J10.

Completely different flight model. Frostbite's flight model for aircraft including jets was based around PS/XBOX controllers and not a full flight stick. Best way I can describe it is they changed it's position so it feels like your character is flying the jet from the back between the two upward fins instead of up front in the cockpit. Versus other flight models BF3 and BF4's feels the most abnormal to me.

Also you can't bounce off the ground or seven different trees in BF2 with jets. You hit anything you die. In BF3/BF4/BF1 you hit anything you bounce off and take minimal to no damage.

I never played BF 2. I'm amazed how fast the jets are. I imagine it might be better than the slow poke jets we have now. Faster jets=more difficult to fly and get kills in but also more difficult to shoot down, but more useful with the more powerful guns to tear up tanks etc, but with limited ammo.
