Thank you so much for your help, for about a month or two I was beginning to doubt the capabilites of my cpu and cooling as it was running close to a 100% usage at 80 degrees C. After the fix, my CPU usage was around 50% to 60% and hovering around between 65 to 70 degrees C.

Just bought this game it was very laggy and unplayable even with my overclocked 5600x running 65°C max.. Usage was at 100% with a laggy 200 fps even limiting 144 didn't help. Your video worked for me thank you, usage is still high 80s to 90s with fps cap but runs much smoother close to no stutter.

Hi quick update on my issue maybe someone else has the same problem, just found out that my gpu driver was from January (before season 7 I guess ?) forgot to update it. After doing it my game became a normal game, very playable above 200 fps and when locked to 145fps my CPU stays below 55% usage and GPU around 60% (6600xt).

Well, this didn’t fix my cpu running at 100%, but it fixed my cpu temps that were in the high 90s, now I’m in low 80s and now my gpu runs at more than 50%. So I guess that’s a lot better than it was. Thank you

HOLY DING DONG I tried everything and yea it was better then nothing but i got a feeling that something is still wrong But after this method i instantly saw the difference Stutters from 2 - 3s went to 0.2 - 0.5s Feels so much smooth Even it fixed loading time and loading textures in game FPS before was droping to 40-50 and now lowest i got is 60-70 on Redacted 120 players when all are throwing granades in one place. with my AMD 7 5800. 8 cores and 16 threads. from 100% usage no matter what. it actually got reduced to 40% usage in menu, and down to 75-80% usage during the game. still higher than my GPU usage. but it changed. so i will say Well done on your research fix on this :) hope your channel grow even bigger mate :D For streaming, BF 2042 is pain, when recording and testing with bandwith everything in BF 2042 is working smooth, then one think okey then it is fixed. suddenly going live. everything lags, stutters, and the latency ingame is huuuge. being unplayable and unwatchable. weird how that works really. in testing it works out but when actually live it kinda fried it self. and i have set BF to its lovwest of the lowest in graphics and never had that issue before until EA app, and the BF updates caused the problems. and then later Nvidia aswell had a Update where it caused higher CPU usage on top of it all. myself working hard to make this game to work, because i really dont wanna play CoD MW2, so playing SW BF2 just to stay away from CoD.

The menus itself were putting my i7 11800 on 95* C which means the device starts to throttle before the playing even starts, that's how bad this sh** was affecting my game, Thanks a million times for this fix! it's amazing how incompetnent EA is & have been for the last few years, it's like they aren't even trying to satisfy their paying customers, but at the end of the day, we deserve this because we keep on buying their BS!

This doesn't work, no change in the game at all. Another way you can tell this likely doesn't work is because you can edit the file while the game itself is open, meaning the game exe itself is not even recognizing or using the file.

Im glad it worked! Much of the Documents folder is the game's cached files. When you delete them, they will have to rebuild while playing and it can cause some stuttering/hitching while doing so. It *is* a good idea to clean these out every so often tho. Thanks for adding more tips

U fixed my game. I was at 100% cpu usage and it says my gpu was being limited. I have the same frame rate before but it is much smoother and for some reason looks a little better too. I’m at like 55- 70 % usage now

you wrote it wrong, you need to write 12,12,0,0,24. Actually the lines are for limiting thread to work not the true core so you need to write half of your available thread in your cfg to limit your cpu thread working.

If you still need it, just save the file on your desktop, then drag and drop into bf main folder, you should have a box saying "admin blabla", but you have the option to allow it ( windows shied logo and admin written on the tab).

You have to enable your system to run as admin on command promt. Then go to Battlefield 2042 folder, and right-click on it. Go to security, then click on edit next to "to change permissions, click edit" select 1 by 1 and allow full control. Save, and you should be able to do it now.
