Tbh, I was still skeptical regarding update quality of BF2042 season 1, but somehow I managed to try again in my free time. Honestly this kaledoscope map is much much better and fun than initial version. The newest exposure map also made me feels like playing in iwo jima map in BFV.

I have good news for ya, I get the same shitty below 60 fps with ryzen 3600 and 5600x no matter the graphics settings, but when I got the 5800x3d, there's 0 CPU bottleneck and my fps is always above 120 fps thanks to the 3D cache.

Possible explanation. The game is heavily CPU bound due to the high number of computations going on. DLSS improves FPS in situations where the GPU is the limiting factor by lowering the internal rendering res. So, basically, DLSS won't improve FPS in CPU bound scenarios.

Despite the awesome graphics, Dice did a horrible job of making the maps bright and shiny looking. A lot of people preferred the dirty gritty maps of BF3 and 4.
